My 10 second intro: Am a career brand strategist, passionate about making brands healthier, so they can realise their potential and their founders’ vision. I run BrandRx,my Brand Strategy Advisory, and also serve as Advisor, Board Member and Mentor to several organisations in technology, civictech, edtech, finance, entrepreneurship and the circular economy. I believe in aligning brand intention, action, reality and speech, for their harmonious good health and long term success. And now for some more detail (2 min read): I love brands and as a career brand strategist, I help make brands healthier in how they shape and meet their future. My mission and passion, is to make brands better aligned between what they want to do (intention), what they do (action), what their context requires them to do (reality) and what they say they do (speech). Between these 4, there usually are significant gaps, resulting in friction, inconsistency and sub par market performance. I help bridge the gaps. Having schooled across India, I graduated in Math. Stats. (Hons.) from Delhi University, following it with a PGDM from IIM Calcutta where I specialised in marketing and consumer behaviour. I started my career at Lintas (Lowe) Advertising and while there, honed my brand strategy skills at Columbia Business School. After some terrific foundational years in Lintas working on several great brands, I left as Associate Director to begin my independent practice as a Brand Strategist, and over the years, I’ve worked on brands in diverse categories, from jeans to laptops to biotech, detergents to technology, education to real estate, spanning Corporates, Startups, NGOs, and Solopreneurs. Brand health, like human health, comes out of strategic, intentional nurturance- which imbues life to a brand’s years and years to its life.
