Priyansh Shah is an aspiring Global Cardiovascular Health Specialist and a social entrepreneur. He is currently Intern Doctor at Baroda Medical College, India. He is the Founder and President of the World Youth Heart Federation, a social enterprise. It is the first youth led organisation in the world that tackles a targeted healthcare problem by intersectoral or ecosystem approach. He is currently a Global Surgery research fellow at WHOCC for for Research in Surgical Care Delivery in LMIC. His work in Global Health began in 2018 when he was elected as the National Officer for Public Health at the Medical Students’ Association of India. They conducted over 10 National Public Health Campaigns and reached out to over 23,000 people. His journey with Global Surgery and Incision started in 2019 when he became a part of the international fundraising team. Currently he is working as the Vice President for Finances at InciSioN. He believes that Health Financing is not only a major building block of UHC but an indispensable aspect of Global Surgery. In the creative world, He has been the chief organiser and licensee of TEDxMSUniversityofBaroda. He has acted in a large number of plays/concerts/short movies since his school days. In 2019 a short movie on World TB Day that he acted in won the first prize in India.
