Provides executive level leadership to a significant and predominately DHS workforce, overseeing the overall planning, direction, and coordination of operations for the largest (LE/FAMS) field office. High-level duties include establishing and maintaining strategic direction, directing major law enforcement activities in the largest LE/FAMS field offices, and advising the LE/FAMS Director and Executive Staff on ongoing investigative requirements and methods to improve security in the aviation domain. Serves as a primary advisor and authoritative consultant to the LE/FAMS Director and Executive Staff on field office investigations and related law enforcement issues, planning and directing the management of activities related to criminal investigations. Establishes and maintain liaison with other Federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, as well as with the airline industry, representing the LE/FAMS Director in field office business matters. Serves as the point of contact for LE/FAMS media and promotion activities. Provides executive-level leadership, directing the work of subordinate managers and performing a wide range of managerial duties including: planning; communicating vision and objectives; assigning tasks and responsibilities; setting priorities; monitoring and evaluating performance; coaching and developing employee capabilities; and, taking, recommending or approving corrective/disciplinary actions, as appropriate. Establishes and communicate to subordinate managers both short and long range program plans, goals, requirements and priorities.

I participate in the review of agency policies, practices, and procedures in order to help eliminate any that discriminate against minorities, women and people with disabilities. I also analyze information and data and present recommendations to improve all aspects of employment as they relate to the respective constituencies. I serve as a subject matter expert, staff advisor, fact finder, sources of information and program advocate. I remain objective and operate in a professional manner at all times.
I manage the following areas: Hispanic Employment Program (HEP), the Federal Women's Program (FWP), African American, Asian American Pacific Islander Program, Native American, Veterans Programs and the LGBTQIA+ Program within the EEO Program. My primary goals as a Special Emphasis Program Manager are to identify and eliminate discriminatory practices and to assure the target groups are appropriately represented throughout the workforce.

As a Military Working Dog Handler (MWD) Kennel Master, Trainer and Handler, I prepared and provided complete historical records of training, utilization, and performance of assigned personnel. As the reviewing official, while tracking each canine handler’s duty hours requiring a signature verifying monthly totals. I reviewed all records of training, utilization, and performance of detector dogs, which served as the basis for establishing probable cause. When necessary, briefings were provided with upper management for details of the certification demonstrations to include search granting authority, or designee witnessing of the demonstration. I conducted all the annual certification requirements and when handlers’ changeover occurred, I supervised the administration of records and forms for the Military Working Dog (MWD) program and developed and conducted reviews of standard operating procedures while recommending changes to the special security instructions. I conducted unannounced semi-annual MWD program self-inspections and performed inspectional duties as primary custodian for explosives and narcotics training aids. I also developed and instituted a successful MWD training program outlining the proper policy and procedures per military guidelines. I monitored, identified and corrected deficiencies of handlers and dogs in all phases of MWD operations. During this time, I responded to incidents involving terrorist threats and suspected explosive devices. I conducted searches; declared areas free of explosives, for the safety of the general public and conducted explosive searches in support of US State Department, US Secret Service Protective details and distinguish visitors while maintaining MWD explosive detection proficiency training above Air Force standards.
