I volunteer with Dyslexia Canada, answering questions about dyslexia from adults, and parents of children with dyslexia. As a fellow dyslexic it gives me great pleasure to support others and share the knowledge I have.

Dyslexia Dialogues is an organization with a mission to help people talk about being dyslexic with confidence be that at school, work, or with family and friends. We do not gloss over the struggles but we do equip you with the understanding of how to use your strengths to achieve the things you want in life academically and professionally. As a fully remote organization support is provided by video and audio calls, and email. Our aim is to stop the stigma around dyslexia just being seen as a disability but as an asset that if used correctly can lead to excellence. Our support and services are available to businesses and individuals.

Diesel repair is a niche market but one that so often gets overlooked by other marketing companies. I work directly with customers who are in need of historical bookkeeping. Many of these clients are stressed because the IRS is chasing them for their tax filings. Using phone, video conferencing, text messaging and email, I create connection with clients to keep them accountable and actionable on providing the information we require to complete their bookkeeping and allow them to complete their tax filing.

Coaching sessions go as deep as you want to go. If you find a topic that you want to dig into and explore further, I am here to support you in that, likewise if you have shorter term goals you want to work towards that is also available.

I work with normal people who want to make some changes, perhaps have already started making some changes, and are looking for some extra support and accountability to follow through on what they want to achieve.

I am a relationship builder who takes initial enquiries that have been made to our Account Managers by educators to get them enrolled and onboarded onto the Riipen platform. The Riipen platform has been designed to help students get Work Integrated Learning opportunities to make them more employable post-graduation.

As a relationship builder my role uses my coaching training and experience a lot. I ask a lot of open ended questions and get to embrace my curiosity as I learn about an educator's course and their motivation for using Riipen.

In addition to onboarding educators and students, I was also involved in Quality Assurance (QA) of projects being posted by employers to ensure they were sufficiently comprehensive and did not breach any of our project requirements and expectations such as using racist, inflammatory or derogatory language.

Onboarding Specialist

My time in Customer Success was all about nurturing the relationships the Account Managers and Onboarding Specialists had created. My focus was getting to the heart of what motivates an educator and their students and hunting down the projects necessary to meet their course needs.

This has been a combination of recruitment type work and relationship management. Plenty of time is spent hunting the marketplace for suitable projects, as well as coordinating with different departments who are part of making an educators experience better. Departments that were involved are Business Consultants, Employer Partnership, Account Managers, Account Executives, IT, and members of the C-suite who have decision power to improve processes.

I learned about numerous unique features of different hearing aids to help clients select the most relevant and beneficial devices for their day-to-day needs. I managed all customer journeys are through Salesforce CRM system.

I helped look after 45 boys who lived at school, covering things like discipline through to pastoral support. I ran a Men’s Discussion Group and worked one-to-one with several students on anger issues, sexuality, processing trauma, improving language proficiency and emotional intelligence. As a Youth Advisor, I was expected to lead by example to the students, which I did by discussing my own journey to overcome adversity in my life. I also shared with students that I worked with my own Life Coach for professional and personal development.

Command Officer for Earthquake and Fire Evacuations with responsibility for ca. 450 personnel. First Aider. I set up a Mental Health Employee Resource Group, which was rolled out across the company internationally.

Implementing process improvements and removing older inaccurate processes. I liaised with everyone up to Director level, even pushing them respectfully to get answers to solve problems. I helped transition accounts across to the US office, write process documents and worked with Regional Sales Managers to ensure a smooth transition from the Canadian to US office.
