- Redesigned the backend of a real estate listing application to handle high level of request traffic.
- Optimized database query performance by pinpointing congestion with k6 and New Relic.
- Benchmarked PostgreSQL and Apache Cassandra to determine optimal database based on performance under load.
- Improved database query speed from 75ms to 0.05ms by implementing B-Tree index search.
- Distributed workload by horizontal scaling microservice and using an Nginx load balancer across four AWS EC2 instances to achieve 3000rps with under 1% error rate.

Full-Stack application for tracking World of Warcraft in-game mounts.

- Engineered a SPA with React/Hooks and conditional rendering to allow multi-page login and dynamically render based on window size.
- Designed Express/MongoDB back-end to support authenticated login and improved security by hashing users’ passwords.
- Ensured accurate and up to date in-game “Mount” information by integrating data from multiple Blizzard API
requests.
- Supported CRUD operations in RESTful architecture.
