Background - Previously consulted for Microsoft and held further CTO, senior consulting and advisory roles (Startups, SMEs and large corporations) as an independent contractor. Since the mid 1990’s I have been designing and developing products & services for multi-national companies, SMEs and startups. These are often large-scale and highly transactional and many are still in use by millions of people today. Safaricom’s ‘m-pesa’ (Developed by Vodafone & Sagentia in 2007-2009) is an example of one of these systems in commercial use today. It has radically changed the concept of banking for the many previously ‘unbanked’ in developing countries. During my twenty-plus year IT career, I have proven quick to adopt new technology and adapt to changes in ways of working with people and teams across companies and kept with the rapid pace of innovation in business. What I am looking for – I seek to work with people and companies delivering innovative products and services. I am looking to help design and improve IT systems supporting those activities.
