I worked on Consumer Healthcare Brands; Piri (Allergy), Nicotinell (Nicotine Replacement Therapy) and Zovirax (Skin). All best in class brands allowing me develop my leadership, agility and digital curiosity. 

I added the most value across E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Commercial Insights and Project Management. The 3 proudest workstreams and lessons learnt are shown below.

1) Creating an eComm strategy and customer segmentation template for Nicotinell, GSK's #1 eComm Brand

I took into consideration each online retailer's digital capability, margin, current/expected growth and business priority. Then helped integrate this into the global planning process, providing brands with a simple method to establish an eComm strategy. Ensuring eComm, the fastest growing market, is prioritised, not overlooked due to current relative size. 

2) Learning to Fail Fast 

I learnt to ruthlessly prioritise my time and can projects if necessary. GSK provided endless opportunities and an environment where failure is encouraged meaning I could try new ideas and feedback.

3) Development of Commercial Acumen 

Through mentors, projects and formal training I gained exposure and familiarity with the P&L and commercial cycle. Ownership of the Zovirax Brand Review process, giving customer focused presentations and establishing potential size of prize enabled this.

upReach Society Exeter

As the first official year of the society my role was to drive student engagement with the UpReach brand on campus and work with the committee to think of innovative ways to utlise our budget in order to encourage more members to attend our events. One example was to host an informal drop in, publicised via social media and the promise of free food, in which society members were on hand to answer questions regarding our plan for the year and what UpReach can offer.

Google

Consultative Sales insight day at Google’s Soho office. The day included workshops and talks on Consultative Sales, Marketing and the other opportunities available at Google. 

The workshop involved co-operating in teams to research, assemble and present a pitch regarding how Google could help increase revenue for a selected business through its various AdWords.

Insight Day 

Unilever

The day included leadership workshops and Q&A sessions with senior leaders, both of which were based on roles within Marketing, Operations and Finance. 

In the leadership workshops, teams had to collaborate together to decide upon a suitable company to acquire from Unilever's perspective. This decision was then justified in a pitch.

Golley Slater

Did  work experience (unpaid) at Golley Slater over a two week period, in which I gained experience in a variety of different sectors. These included Client Services, New Business/Planning and the Creative department.

Was successful in applying for an insight week in which I gained experience in Auditing, Tax Advisory and Risk Consulting.

My role involved working within 'Operations' to ensure stock levels were managed and that customers were enjoying their shopping experience. 

Specific responsibilities included but were not limited to: handling the external phone line and customer complaints, ensuring each of the daily task's were completed on time and operating a till during peak times.
