• Partnership Schools, NYC: Wrote proposals for network of 6 high performing Bronx/Harlem Catholic Schools. 
• Green Jobs Program, Queens, NY: Prepared a New York State grant proposal for training services
• Energy Coordinating Agency, Philadelphia: Submitted grant proposals and accreditation materials to IREC. 
• Nasdaq’s Entrepreneurial Center: Wrote business plan for this San Francisco-based start-up, in addition to data reporting and proposal writing.
• CAMBA, NYC: Served as Grants Manager; Researched, wrote, edited, and prepared for submission, multi-million-dollar grant applications to state and local resources (NYS OTDA, NYC DYCD, DOE). Secured funding for more than 60% of apps submitted.
• Weston United: Submitted NYS Medicaid redesign funding proposals to aid the houseless community.

Elizabeth Dole Foundation

National nonprofit focused on supporting Military and Veteran Caregivers
• Tapped by Leadership to take on additional oversight of the Foundation’s Direct Support Programs: Respite Relief and Financial Wellness. Supervise 2 staff members, including a Data Manager. Oversee adoption of agency wide KPIs and the creation of data management dashboards in Salesforce.
• Helped secure Foundation’s largest gift on record: $5M from the Diana Davis Spencer Foundation
• Successfully established the Campaign for Inclusive Care, a joint initiative with Veteran’s Affairs (VA) to implement a system-wide approach to caregiver inclusion. 
• Wrote proposal for (and received) the initial $750K grant from USAA.
 -Designed program to include formative research from Duke University and UT Health San Antonio with the ambitious goal of creating systemic change within the VA, the largest integrated healthcare provider in the US. (Published articles in peer-reviewed journals included below.)
 -Led development of a 4-part curriculum (Academy for Inclusive Care) on how medical staff can practice inclusive care. The course is nationally accessible, is hosted on TRAIN and through the VA’s online LMS. To date, more than 1,000 individuals have completed the 4-module training.
• Developed and oversee the implementation of Foundation’s organizational strategic plan. 
• Partner with RAND Corporation, Mathematica, Duke University, and UT Health San Antonio for research.
• Serve as a Key Member of several committees / boards, including the National Academy of Science’s TBI Forum; the NIH study on TBI (CAGE-BH); and a VA-funded Gun Safety Project through Tulane University.

• Started with Upwardly Global as a consultant (interim role) and was later hired as a full-time Senior Director. 
• Supported new CEO and reorganized national development team to secure $6M for organization’s annual budget. (Still support with ongoing proposal writing.)
• As the Senior Director of Jobversity, oversaw the implementation of Upwardly Global's online learning management system to help.

Sustainable energy, housing rehabilitation nonprofit.
• Expanded prospect research, increased number of corporate, foundation, and government prospects, doubling the number of proposals submitted during fiscal year.
• Increased social media presence on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
• Increased the profile of ECA's signature annual event - Energy Conference, doubling the number of corporate sponsorships and increasing attendance.

The Dave Nee Foundation

Selected as first paid Executive Director since Foundation was established in 2006.
• Reorganized operations, streamlined functions, implemented QuickBooks and helped auditor rework financial policies. Implemented new payroll system at net cost savings, wrote/updated HR & Board manuals.
• Ensured compliance with NYS Charity Regulations, improved non-event fundraising by redesigning website and e-newsletters, increasing brand awareness (improved metrics for all social media).
• Partnered with BOD and 1 program manager to set strategic agenda for growth; increased annual budget (was $250K) by recruiting pro bono strategic consultants to develop a 3-year strategic plan.

Women's Refugee Commission

International women's advocacy group
• Secured support for advocacy and research efforts by researching, identifying, and cultivating prospects, writing and editing proposals and reports, and preparing budgets. Agency’s overall budget was $6M, of which nearly 40% was raised from institutional sources (government and foundations).
• Met with international funders / governments (e.g., United Kingdom) and foundations (e.g., Oak Foundation).

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York

• Helped organization reach annual fundraising goal of $2.5M (25% of overall development goal).
• Exceeded goal by 8% in 2008, with $600K in new foundation gifts. (100+ proposals were submitted.)

Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations

Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board

• Managed a $3M US Department of Labor grant that sought to increase the skill levels of high-tech employees in the I-84 Knowledge Corridor. Collaborated with DOL Federal Project Officer, wrote, and submitted quarterly reports, managed all subcontractors / evaluated progress toward stated goals and objectives. 
• Started a free women’s clothing boutique in downtown Waterbury for women on welfare returning to work by securing a grant from the Community Foundation of Waterbury.
