4x entrepreneur. Founder at Coine.ai Since college, I have been passionate about startups. Whether I was a volunteer to organize an event or an intern for an NGO, my entire career has been one that entrepreneurial values have guided. Time and again, I enjoy overcoming hurdles and exploring new paths. As a 21-year-old university student, I founded my first fintech startup Payfix back in 2012. As a bootstrapped startup, we'd grown from a team with seven employees to generating $1M GMV. I founded ShopTap, an O2O eCommerce startup, in 2014. In less than 2 years, we established a solid merchant base of 6,800 outlets in India, starting from Kanyakumari to Jammu and Kashmir. In 2015, ShopTap got listed as "Top 10 Startups" to look out for by Yourstory. However, by the end of 2016, ShopTap got shutdown ( A story to discuss over 10 cups of coffee) We could retain our core team of ShopTap. With persistent efforts of spending hundreds of hours re-visiting the business model, finding product-market fit, partnering with the right stakeholders, we launched ShopTap 2.0 in 2018. ShopTap partnered with NASSCOM to be a procurement partner for Global Entrepreneur Summit, 2017 at Hyderabad, India. This was a life-changing breakthrough for us, and from there on, we went on to onboard global brands like Welspun Group, Deloitte, Salarpuria Sattva, OTIS, Value Labs, ISS. Today, ShopTap is self-sustainable and became a cash bank for us to start my other ventures, Nytro and Coine.ai. Building a brand from the outside may seem effortless, but starting a business at 21 with no resources or funding soon made me realize that early-stage entrepreneurship is anything but transparent. I have been sharing my entrepreneurial experiences to help more young people start, launch, and scale their businesses with all the knowledge I gained over the years. From bankruptcy, we scaled up the product to reach profitability by applying a well-planned financial model and executed a growth strategy. Entrepreneur, I have co-founded four startups across verticals – Fintech, Ecommerce, Automotive Tech. Yourstory, Staruphyderabad, Sakshi media, The Hindu, and other reputed publications have featured me in their articles and other resources.
