Answering phone calls and emails. Being the face of the charity when people walked in and helping with organising everything that’s happening eg. Events and conferences. I also helped the kitchen by ordering the weekly food order from brakes.

Receptionist

Updating all social media platforms, eg. Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. I helped promote events as well as organised the events, making sure we had everything booked and ready. I assisted with marketing jobs when needed too. I also updated the website, for example putting the relevant events and dates on and making sure all pages were up to date with information that people visiting the site would need.

Blue and White Cafe

I had a lot more responsibility, making sure customers were happy as well as staff. Served at the till and cooked and served the food. I also managed the cafe by myself when the boss went on holiday which meant managing a team of 6 or 7, cashing up the money and paying people at the end of the day, as well as making sure we had all food needed, if not ordering it.

I assisted Penny Williams, the Director, on any tasks that she needed doing. From researching certain topics or places to helping at her organise the events and then help ran them on the day of the event.

UK Brand Show via Channel Radio

I worked with Penny Williams for two years. I help her with her radio show, called UK Brand Show, which is recorded live on Channel Radio. Within this I voice my opinion and input a young perspective on the topic which was being spoken about on the weeks show. I also help her set the show up by picking the relevant music and making sure it was all ready to record the live show. I was also the person that put the show onto the UK Brand show website for people to re-listen to.
