Co-Curator of Creative Comm - an annual AI knowledge exchange conference, hosted by CebAI - the National Centre for Creativity enabled by AI, programmed to appeal to a broad range of people who are interested and working in technology, creativity and knowledge exchange. 

The first conference was held on September 13th 2021. Case studies and panel discussions covered business startups and technology, ethics, culture and human-computer interaction, the 4.0 future, diffusion of products, monetising creativity and knowledge exchange activities.

WEAR (Wearable technologists Engage with Artists for Responsible Innovation) was a two-year EU-funded project that pushed for a shift in the wearable technology and e-textile landscape towards a more ethical and sustainable approach.  

Together with 6 EU consortium partners we successfully co-wrote and won the 2016-17 €3million Horizon 2020 ICT Innovation Action Grant. The project received the highest commendation by the European Commission. I managed the project's engagement, dissemination, sustainability, and Innovation support packages.

WEAR sustain successfully:
- created a pan-European advocacy network of 1,400+ professionals which is still active today. Find experts and actors in the arts, design, technology, engineering and sustainability at wearsustain.eu
- funded 46 innovation teams to explore ethics and sustainability in practice. These teams, their outcomes, experts and over 100 hubs that facilitated ethical, aesthetic, environmental, responsible & sustainable wearable tech & e-textiles for the future can be found at www.wearsustain.eu . Senior Research & Innovation Manager, WEAR Sustain

Creativeworks London (CWL) was a £4.8m AHRC knowledge exchange hub, one of four in the UK that fused the capital’s creative economy with some of the finest academic institutions in the world. Its aimed to create a stimulating environment where conversations led to competitive advantage, outstanding innovation and showcased London as a centre for creative excellence.

I coordinated CWL’s Knowledge Exchange Programme, working with academic/Independent Research Organisation partners, as well the creative, creative digital and Arts SME sector in London, with a view to assessing their needs and identifying how they might benefit from the  project during its lifespan and thereafter. We focussed on bringing creative people together to explore the issues that impacted on London’s creative economy and to facilitate exciting new collaborative research opportunities to empower London’s creative and digital creative businesses. We also supported academics in the arts and humanities looking to take their knowledge to business. 

The project funded 109 collaborations. I co-created a final festival and co-wrote a publication on collaboration. See links below:

Community/PR Manager & Post-Doc Researcher on two EC FP7 creative industry projects:

CRe-AM (www.cre-am.eu), Oct 2013 - Sept 2015. Bridging communities of creators with communities of technology providers and innovators, in a collective, strategic intelligence and trends/roadmapping effort, to identify key areas for creative sector technological development.

The highly successful FET-ART project (http://ict-art-connect.eu/), June 2013 - May 2014. Bringing together artists and technologists to explore new ways of working and co-creation to foster the bringing together of art and technology.

Managing communities of creative industry and technology stakeholders, as well events, PR and communications, and managing various work packages for these two EU funded projects to connect ICT with Art/creative industry practitioners. Both projects contribute to the emergence of novel FET (Future Emerging Technology) research topics and identify new emerging research areas for H2020 in the ICT domain and beyond.

The ICT & Art Connect project is now closed. It supported 19 successful ICT & Art collaborations residencies, the aim being top define new research avenues, challenges and the potential impact on science, technology, art, education and society in general.
