As an experienced complementary therapist of over 18 years I have seen first hand some of the challenges of working for yourself in the sector. At the start it’s quite a steep learning curve and you can find that your income is very unstable and difficult to predict. It’s also harder to increase your income without increasing the time that you spend with people. There is a balancing act to be created as it’s important to not overwork yourself and create injuries that could have long term consequences but also the need to make hay when the sun shines. We therapists work hard ! Four years ago I made the decision to boost and diversify my income just a little to even things out. I had never wanted to sell anything but had always used products that were as natural as possible. I fell in love with a skincare range that got rid of the eczema that had started on my face and decided to diversify. I was scared and afraid of failure. I had to take a close look at my mindset and the negative messages that were coming from it about my choice to give it a go. In the end I committed myself to a year and have continued to make that commitment every year since. I have never regretted my decision. I love the products now more than ever and we are at the cutting edge of green chemistry. Our products work and they are highly ethical in every way. I feel blessed to be involved. I now support a team of women who also fell in love and wanted to have a little extra earning power in their lives. Therapists and women from all walks of life have found that it supports their income and also adds to their lives with new friendships and the choice to go to events if they so wish .So that is what I’m here for.
