After 10+ years of using social media for business, I know a thing or two - and I use my knowledge to help other owners of small and medium sized businesses to make the most out of using social media for their businesses. 

I mentor business owners - helping them to find their confidence and understand how telling their business story can help them increase their sales.  I do this 1:1 and in my membership group. 

I host workshops in how to use Canva - to help telling your story become more eye catching.

Local Business Charity Awards

Encouraging participation in The Local Business Charity Awards by using social media. It's my job to tell the wider community about the Awards, the good partnership work going on between local business and local charities and all associated things. 

Collating information on entries, creating graphics, and general communication of good news.

British Heart Foundation

I worked to support all those fab people in Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire who chose to raise money for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).Also raising awareness of what the BHF does and how important healthy hearts are.

I used social media to make and maintain links with fundraisers, corporate partnerships and business contacts - many of whom have become friends over the years. 

Our main Fundraising focus centred around National Heart Month in February - where we asked everyone to get involved with our Wear Red Day on the first Friday of the month and do their own fundraising to help us fight for every heartbeat. 

I worked passionately for the work of BHF - my own niece is a heart patient, having been born with her heart back to front - I'm overwhelmingly grateful to the surgeons who saved her life 28 years ago. 

I have successfully bid for and won several Charity Partnerships, including Cheltenham Half Marathon in 2013/2014. 

I was proud to be a finalist in the Venue Women's Awards in 2014 for Networker of the Year and Employee of the Year for Oxfordshire. 

My role also involved supporting those who fundraise for us -e.g. helping to get press attention, or linking fundraisers together where they have a common goal. 

I relished the opportunity to meet new people and to help them achieve their goals, whilst also helping to raise the profile of, and money for, BHF.

Principally involved with age restricted sales enforcement - working in conjunction with licencing authorities and the local police with new applications for licences as well as licence reviews and test purchase operations.

I love social media - I love how positive it can be and how it can really help small business owners to engage with their customers, existing and potential and raise their profile in a positive manner.

I am on a mission to help businesses to understand how to create engaging content from their own stories and develop their skills in a safe space, where they can grow and thrive.
