Growing up, I had no sense of who I was as a person (despite being a high-performing, "good Indian son" on the outside). I had a lucrative career in data science ... but I couldn't shake the feeling that the life I led wasn’t truly ME. When my partner came out as transgender and started the female-to-male transition process in 2017, the ways he rejoiced in his true identity triggered my own decision to make a change. Working with (and then training as) a relationship coach helped me connect with my emotions and desires, which then touched every aspect of my life. I left a well paying data science job to become a brand photographer and honed my own speaking chops by going speaker training with Heroic Public Speaking (HPS). Today, it lights me up to create safe spaces where my speaker clients can be truly seen, convey their authentic story, and express it on camera.
