A seasoned, transformational business leader, experienced in multinationals, who is results orientated & purpose driven. Currently, as AWS's Country Manager and Executive Director for South Africa - Worldwide PS, I have successfully turned around the entity within the first year, attaining sustained growth and year on year. I established a strong team of leaders, and we are collectively digitally transforming South Africa and Africa through our initaitives. As an Executive Director, I ensure strict governance, oversight and management of the South African AWS Entity, and full P&L accountability. Prior to this I, successfully started-up, established & led Telkom’s Convergence business to a multi-millon dollar portfolio-worth, within 3 years, I also positioned Telkom as a leader in the SMME arena, accounting for 293k small business customers. I expertly led the Telkom Business/BCX UC merger project in 2015. In 2018, I was appointed as the Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO) at SENTECH accountable for: - Digital Transformation and 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) solutions internally and to - Information Security and Corporate Governance of ICT; - PAN African Satellite Development and Launch Project on behalf of the DCDT - Member of the Board Committees. - Executive Director PMO for SA's Broadcasting Digital Migration (BDM) programme on behalf of the DCDT (secondment) My sound business acumen has enabled me to drive massive organisational transformation successfully. I hold more than a decade of ICT & leadership experience, successfully developed and led turnaround and start-up strategies, attained multiple international degrees & diplomas passing summa cum laude, with an MBA, graduating at the top of my class. A Thought Leader in ICT and Technology, I have been featured as a tech leader & futurist at many conferences, published in magazines such as Brainstorm & IT Web.
