Project Director

Johns Hopkins Hospital

As the project manager, I collaborated with a core team of 3 members to conduct extensive stakeholder research through over 60 interviews across 15 health departments. The goal of this research was to define the scope and requirements for 20 high-impact project packages focusing on critical areas like patient safety, process optimization, supply chain improvements, and cost savings.

To ensure effective project management, I established best practices including adopting JIRA to create a project backlog, manage sprints, and track tasks. Microsoft Teams was leveraged to maintain real-time project documentation and enable seamless collaboration.

I provided oversight for 16 student-led project teams, supervising the development of over 40 solutions. These solutions were then presented to a panel of 20 key client stakeholders including surgeons, nurse managers, supply chain managers, and safety officials. This allowed us to demonstrate project outcomes, obtain buy-in, and validate that we delivered optimized and cost-saving solutions that addressed the most pressing needs identified during stakeholder interviews.

As the Captain, I conducted various workshops for the players, which made a huge difference in their performance. During my first year of captaincy, our team bagged a Silver medal in the Inter-Zonal Tournament - 2019-2020. I also led the college team into 'A division' of Coimbatore District Tennis Association. This allowed me to build my team skills while honing my leadership adroitness for the team's common goal. In my second year of captaincy amidst Covid-19, I conducted online fitness sessions to keep the team's morale high.
