DriveX Technologies’ conquest of North America is in full swing and we’ve just taken a BIG STEP FORWARD!

Our new partner is Glass.com Inc., a leading platform for glass damage management, already integrated with over 1,000 workshop locations across the U.S. 
Together, we’ve kicked off joint sales activities and gained access to both major and regional players in the market! 

To be honest… this didn’t come easy. Breaking into the U.S. market as a deeptech took us more than a year - full of stones, bumps, and plenty of “no’s.”
But we didn’t give up. We adapted our product thanks to Daniel Snow's guidance, learned the ropes of the market, and proved that even a small team from Estonia can make a global dent when stubborn enough. 💪

I still remember meeting Daniel in Helsinki -  just car enthusiasts talking about life. I didn't even attempt to close a "deal", just investing in the relationship. As business professionals we had an instant click, I guess he having some Danish blood helped 😁

Fast forward a few months, he gave me the bombshell surprise: invited me to Auto Glass Week™ in Reno to join forces at a trade show!

That moment became the start of something much bigger.

Huge thanks to the DriveX team and our partners, including the legendary Lyle Hill who believed that the auto glass industry will change for good with proven AI solutions. 🚀

No BS founder building things that interest me & what the world needs

Toughest moment as a founder? Great people leaving. It really hurts like hell, even though my smile doesn't reveal it.

Frederika, the Iron Lady, the MVP, the Hustler, flew out of the DriveX Technologies nest last week. 

She saw all the pivot hells, stupid mistakes we made as founders and of course, mindblowing breakthroughs during her 4.5-year tenure. And she kept on sailing without complaints. To me, that's just something next-level sh*t.

I've understood that if you're in your 20s, trying different companies and fields of business gives you an edge.

For example, during college times I was a cleaner. Yes, you read that right. One of the most extreme jobs was emptying a 5m deep glue manufacturing pit.

After that, I have sold a wide range of products, including consumer electronics, robotics, and AI software.
All of that helped me to understand what I like and dislike, what fits my character and skill, aspirations.

So I'm happy that Frederika Frey discovered that marketing is her thing. ANY company is so lucky to have her - she really has the grit, determination and creative spark to succeed.

I really root for my people to have a great and fulfilling life, and this goes way beyond the company we're building right now.

I've been wanting to post something like this for ages but Martin Koppel did it first. And I'm thankful to you as you're a VC.

As founders, we are highly competitive and ambitious. We have to be, if we want to make it as an entrepreneur.

But at the same time, we rely on signals and mostly it comes from social media.

Seeing the "overnight success" companies like Lovable (great product) makes us ponder - why the hell isn't our business growing to 100M ARR in 18 months?!

Self-doubt kicks in. Punishing yourself mentally every day, thinking you're a failure. Even depression or anxiety for some. Being afraid that your investors or team members see you as a shitty founder. 

So you push even harder. The result? A few people ending up in a hospital or forced to take a 6-12 months sabbatical.

Well, the evidence is here - you're probably doing good, if not even great.

It's enough to be consistent, show up every day and do your best. When you listen to your customers and the market, numbers will eventually get better. 

But it's still hard, you knew that already. Keep going!

Most repair shops are skeptical of AI, believing it's just another gimmick. One guy commented - "another toll fee, losing money on jobs"

Here's another take on this. When was the last time you washed clothes or dishes by hand? For me, maybe once per year if it's a special item.

We use the washing machine. The dishwasher. It's completely normal.

So why aren't digital solutions and automation in traditional businesses looked upon as an ally, not a foe?

True, most business owners aren't early adopters. They like manual work, talking to customers and viewing images.

But having 10,000+ jobs per year - it's not scalable nor accurate.

Some technicians even drive to visit the customer to see the damage. 2-3 hours lost, and maybe you don't even get the job done.

Early pioneers understand that operational efficiency is key, providing a superior customer experience. Saved time is invested in truly valuable tasks like business development and key accounts.
