I began my journey in the United States Navy in 2003 and left service in 2011, driven by a strong sense of duty and a desire to make a positive impact in the Veteran community. After a difficult transition from military service, it became clear to me that many Veterans struggled to navigate the complexities of the VA system and access the benefits they deserved. Motivated to support the Veteran community, I became a VA Rater, evaluating and determining eligibility for VA Disability Compensation benefits. This role allowed me to dive deep into the intricacies of the VA system, thoroughly reviewing medical records and making informed decisions regarding benefits. However, after years of adjudicating claims, I recognized that the system posed significant challenges for many deserving Veterans. In July 2022, I founded Acuity Benefit Consulting to bridge the gap and empower Veterans. Drawing from my experience as a VA Rater, I established a solo practice dedicated to navigating Veterans through the complex process of VA Disability Compensation benefits. My mission is to educate Veterans, demystify the system, and advocate on their behalf, ensuring they regain their agency and confidently access their entitled benefits.
