Why, hello there! Welcome to my profile page! My name is Ray, I'm a young entrepreneur with some big dreams to change the world. When faced with any situation, I like to break it down and figure out a way to improve it. My entrepreneurial journey began when I was 13 years old in 2017. After school, I loved playing video games with a bunch of my friends online. We formed an esports team and competed in various online competitions. We had a terrible time. There was blatant racism, cheating, and foul play in these competitions. We decided to change that by starting our own events management company, Claxon Tournaments, to organise fair and enjoyable competitions for the community. We boostrapped the company with our pocket money, took the time after classes to get a glimpse of the corporate world, and slowly built up a network of partners to organise these events. Surprisingly, we were met with resounding support. We attracted 800 members onto our Discord server in the first week we launched, and this has since grown to 20,000 today. Since our founding, we have organised over 700 competitions across the globe, working closely with over 20 key partners and clients to push forward these events. We met many setbacks, hardships and impossible situations. We took these in stride to grow and learn from them. Along this journey, I took many detours. I had the opportunity to work for several other companies, each with its own unique experience and focus. I have just graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic with a Diploma in Business Studies.
