My role is to coach business owners from seed stage right through to growth each week, to help them reach their personal and professional goals faster than they would on their own.

Business Advisor

Leighton Contractors

In this role, I was basically the 'bridge' between the IT department and the rest of the company.

If Leighton had an area in the business in which they wanted to perform better, and it could be fixed with using some sort of technology - I'd be involved to determine what solution would best solve the problem in the cheapest way, and then oversee the project from the idea right through to completion.

Slightly more boring details about what I did are below:

● Responsible for deliverables to multiple stakeholders and senior management
● Processed new business initiatives throughout project life cycle
● Facilitated training workshops for end users during new software implementation
● Worked on major restructure of corporate intranet, focusing on redesigning/simplifying the user experience
● Writing of training/support manuals
● Experience with system integration and user acceptance testing
● Experience with Waterfall methodology for major projects and Agile for enhancements
● Assisting in the completion and presentation of business cases to senior management
● Risk identification and management
● Assist the Project Manager in developing project plans/schedules using MS Project
● Assisted with solution design and vendor evaluation process
● Completion of process improvement using Oracle BPA
● Assist the System Architect and Solution Designer with the preparation of technical specification documentation

Business Analyst

Optus

During this role I moved around several areas of Optus, working on several projects to improve the efficiency of the business. 

Generally helping the company get more results with less resources. 

I would be constantly looking at what we were doing currently and seeing if there was a better, faster, cheaper way to do the same thing.

A snapshot of what I did is below:

●	Provided analysis for business application issues
●	Worked with design team to improve user experience on the major Optus Consumer website
●	Responsible for deliverables to various product managers within matrix reporting structure
●	Worked with the business to streamline online sales process for new product launch
●	Represented marketing team in multiple Lean Six Sigma process re-engineering projects
●	Carried out business requirements gathering, involvement in business process re-engineering and project documentation during project life cycle
●	Completion of current state and future state process maps 
●	Facilitated meetings with business stakeholders and vendors for product requirements, workshops and ‘Go-To-Market’ presentations
●	Involved in multiple transformation and continuous improvement projects
●	Designed and delivered agency briefs including product strategy and detailed competitor analysis
●	Developed and presented training packs for channel partners to aid with collateral strategy
●	Analysed sales data weekly to create internal marketing communications for stakeholder review

Business Analyst / Marketing Executive

This role I was required to manage escalated complaints within Optus typically concerning larger liabilities.

Was expected to work with customers to resolve these issues and prevent them from escalating further (ie. to fix their issue before they took the story to TV, Radio and/or Social Media).

Found this role really good for learning how to quickly/effectively deal with high risk situations.

●	Implemented and delivered a six week project which streamlined mobile handset delivery within Customer Relations; reducing delivery times by 70% and increasing customer satisfaction by 25%
●	Responsible for contributing to business process re-engineering within Customer Relations group
●	Supported and contributed to Lean Six Sigma projects that increased business efficiency
●	Conducted one-on-one and group meetings to deliver business and product training
●	Created strong relationships to assist in delivery of effective solutions ahead of schedule
●	Actively managed escalated customer complaints to limit business exposure to compensation claims
●	Handled complaints directed to senior management concerning liabilities greater than $50,000

Customer Relations Executive

In this role, I started off doing technical support. I have a tendency to want to make processes faster and easier, so pretty soon I was working on a number of projects to help things run smoother.

One of the key things I learnt here is that even if I perform well, it is not as powerful as improving the processes that a team of 100+ use. It was a good lesson in creating leveraged results.

This job was pretty fun, and worked with a great bunch of people. Optus also happen to throw awesome parties haha.

More details below:

●	Led and implemented a project to overhaul daily call centre reporting; creating greater performance awareness for line and centre management
●	Involvement in project to improve relationship and SLA’s between lead technicians and SMEs; resulting in 20% improvement in issue resolution time for customers
●	Contributed to RIM project to improve Voice of Customer results and relationship between international Blackberry delegates and Optus Products and Delivery stakeholders
●	Liaised with senior network engineers to monitor and communicate major network faults to frontline teams
●	Developed advanced knowledge level of 20-30 IT systems; including Siebel and Citrix
●	Exceeded all KPIs and responsible for coaching and mentoring within team of twelve

We help established, service-based business grow their business using cutting-edge digital marketing strategies.

Our clients typically have been in business a few years (not startups), may have multiple locations or national footprint - have good word of mouth referrals - but don't want to be purely dependent on them.

They'd like to build a proper marketing and sales system that reliably drives new customers to their business each month.

They're often very good at what they do, have a good reputation but want to take it to the next level and don't have all the expertise in house to do this.
