Honeywell

Honeywell Middle East secured an EPC contract for a control system replacement project in AUG 2015, winning the competitive bid from Saudi Electricity Co. for the design, supply, installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of a reliable and expandable DCIS system to replace the existing systems at the Ghazlan Power Plant (GPP-1) - a 4x625MW combined cycle facility located on the Arabian Gulf Coast.
I successfully led a team of 50+ control system engineers, managers, and technical experts in the design, supply, installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of a reliable and expandable DCIS and Turbine control system for the Ghazlan Power Plant. As the direct custodian of the project P&L, I oversaw all aspects of the project, from the initial sales stage to its completion in 2018-19. My responsibilities included finalizing contractors and subcontractors, managing multiple suppliers and vendors, conducting HSE and QA meetings, and leading internal progress reviews. Through strong leadership and effective risk management, managing positive relationships with clients, ensuring the successful execution of this complex and challenging project.

Program Manager

The Upper Zakum offshore platform in Abu Dhabi's waters is a vital player in the global oil and gas industry, boasting a production capacity of over 600,000 barrels of oil per day. Operated by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), 
       I effectively fulfilled my roles and responsibilities, including those outlined below.
•	$110 M (One Hundred Ten Million US Dollars)
•	Provide expert advice and guidance to project teams to ensure successful implementation of project management best practices and ADNOC standards.
•	Develop and implement comprehensive project management plans and schedules, including effective risk management strategies.
•	Facilitate efficient communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders at off-shore and on-shore office facilities.
•	Continuously monitor and report on project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or delays due to offshore operational constraints.
•	Ensure full compliance with ADNOC regulatory and HSE requirements, through regular audits, training, and monitoring which leads to successful project completion and satisfaction for the PMC and ADNOC.
•	Develop and maintain accurate project forecast budget and financial forecasts.
•	Identify and manage project risks and opportunities during regular R&O sessions with stakeholders.

Off shore Project Interface Manager

The successful completion of this project, two months ahead of schedule and within budget, resulted in the construction and commissioning of two gas trains, NGL and crude shipping pumps, NGL & Crude storage facilities (three (3) 1.2 million Barrel Floating-Roof Tanks site-constructed and commissioned, and a flare system, and the completion of instrumentation construction and pre-commissioning works, all without any lost-time incidents.
The detailed design and procurement activities were completed ahead of schedule which supported the early construction start date.  In addition, a total savings of about 3.5 million Dollars was achieved. I successfully completed and closed out the Downstream Pipelines and Khurais Gas package within 6 months of the On-Stream Date of June 2009, ensuring that they were operational and ready for use.
•	Ensuring budget and technical quality, delivering timely status updates on all project tasks to drive successful completion.
•	Equip new and national trainees with necessary skills to independently perform their duties through participation in training.

Engineer II SAPMT              

This project involves the construction and commissioning of four hydrocarbon pipelines constituting of a 145 km pipeline to transport 300 MMSCDF of sour gas, four km pipeline to transport 1.2 million barrels of stabilized crude, four km pipeline to transport 70,000 barrels of stabilized condensate and four km pipeline to transport fuel gas.
I have taken over to recover and expedite completion of instrumentation & control work.  (Control and monitoring systems were consisted with RTUs shelter, pressure, temperature sensors, transmitter and control valves and leak detection system) Pipelines are now completed in time to support crude production at Khurais Producing facility.

Engineer II SAPMT

Rezayat Industrial Cluster (SAECO, SAFAMI, PROCOAT)

Qurayyah Power Plant is in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, near the city of Abqaiq. The plant is operated by Saudi Electric Company (SEC) and has a total installed capacity of 2500 MW (4 Steam Turbine units each of 625MW producing capacity). Honeywell Middle East secured an EPC contract for a control system replacement project in JULY 2004, winning the competitive bid from Saudi Electricity Co. for the design, supply, installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of a reliable and expandable DCIS system to replace the existing systems at the Qurayyah Power Plant.
As a site custodian from the SAECO-I&C team, I led a team of 150 skilled workers, Technicians, and supervisors to execute the replacement of the existing control system with a state-of-the-art Honeywell supplied EPKS DCIS system with GE’s Mark IV control system and complete renovation of the existing central control room with operator control desks and office furniture. This included managing construction, material transportation, installation at the site, and providing commissioning assistance to the Honeywell Team for the start-up, resulting in a successful and efficient upgrade to the control system.

•	My goal was to ensure the successful integration of the control systems with the overall project design and to guarantee a safe and efficient operation of the facility.

•	Lead successful contract management from start to finish by expertly negotiating, approving, and awarding contracts while ensuring scope, cost, schedule, and quality align with company standards.

JV Site Manager (SAECO & Honeywell Middle East)               

As the lead of a team of technicians, Instrument assistant Technicians, helpers, and supervisors, I was responsible for ensuring the accurate and reliable instrument readings by calibrating the filed instruments prior to their installation at the site, calibration and testing of vendor skid-mounted instruments, and performing final loop checks with the customer, as well as helping in commissioning activities. This resulted in a smooth commissioning process and successful project completion for the time and material type contract with Technip France (the main EPC contractor) at the project site. We established a well-equipped process control instruments calibration laboratory at project site with Saudi Aramco engineering standard compliance, contributing to the overall project excellence.

•	Our team successfully calibrated over 5000+ pressure, temperature, level, and flow instruments including transmitters, control valves, switches, sensors, and pressure relieve valves, ensuring accurate and reliable instrument readings and contributing to the overall success of the process.

•	Conduct safety reviews, walks, and meetings to ensure compliance with industrial safety standards and safe work permit requirements

Project Engineer

JGC ARABIA LTD

Hawiyah city 65 km Southwest of Al-Hafouf in the Eastern region is one of the major gas plants in Saudi Arabia, capable of producing 2.5 BSCFD of natural gas .it processing non-associated gas. The plant's successful completion 3 months ahead of schedule and within budget, resulted in the construction and commissioning of 4 DD (Dehydration & Dew point) plants,5 Gas Treating plants, Utility & flare, KO drum areas with 4 PIB (Process Interface buildings) and a CCR (Central Control Room) building, it started operating since April 2003, which has a major impact on the energy market. The project received the PMI award for being the project of the year.

•	Lead multi-discipline projects from planning to execution, ensuring adherence to company procedures and delivering on schedule, budget, and safety protocols. Drive project success through effective communication, forecasting, and management of deliverables.
•	Executes feasibility studies with standard tools, ensuring compliance with company-approved processes and procedures.
•	Expertly review and execute design and engineering of process measurement instruments and control systems with minimal assistance, proficient in software tools such as Instrucalc, Flowel, Coval, and ExiSILentia
•	Ensure multi-discipline interfaces and scope are properly addressed through coordination with other discipline engineers.

Chiyoda Petrostar Limited

The Saudi Sharq Ethylene Glycol project is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Dow Chemical Company, which is in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The project includes the construction & commissioning of an ethylene glycol production facility, Design and engineer field instruments and control systems, including DCS, ESD, SCADA, F&G, building HVAC control, public addressing, and machine control systems with established communication protocols.
•	Develop comprehensive engineering package utilizing international codes, standards, and best practices for instrumentation and control systems.
•	I also oversee the commissioning process, provide technical support during construction and start-up, troubleshoot issues during operation and maintain accurate documentation throughout the project life cycle.

 Engineer

TECHNIMONT ENGINEERING PRIVATE LIMITED

The SAFCO Ammonia and Urea plant, operated by SABIC (Saudi Basic Industries Corporation), is in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, in the city of Al-Jubail on the Arabian Gulf coast. The plant has a production capacity of around 1.3 million tons per year of Ammonia and 1.5 million tons per year of Urea. The SAFCO project is considered one of the largest fertilizer production facilities in the world and plays a vital role in meeting the growing demand for fertilizers in the Middle East and other regions. 
•	My roles include developing control system architecture, creating instrumentation loop diagrams, and participating in safety studies.
•	Lead project team to deliver timely, high-quality instrumentation specifications, data sheets, calculations, and design documents, and ensure equipment orders are tracked and approved for successful project completion.
•	Conduct safety reviews, walks, and meetings to ensure compliance with industrial safety standards and safe work permit requirements.

Site Engineer

Bechtel Arabia Ltd  Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Shybah oilfield is a strategically important asset for Saudi Aramco, located in the Empty Quarter desert of Saudi Arabia. The field was developed with the purpose of exploiting its vast reserves of 14 billion barrels of crude oil and 25 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. The project scope included the design, purchase, and construction of three GOSPs (Gas & Oil Separation Plant) along with co-generation and utility plant facilities, making it one of the most comprehensive and efficient oil production facility in the world.
•	As a young instrument Engineer on the EPC team, I successfully led the representation of the EPC vendor at the shop floor and collaborated with the control systems team to pass the Factory acceptance test by Saudi Aramco SAPMT, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
•	Ensure quality and safety by actively monitoring contractor and sub-contractor work during engineering and construction.
•	Ensure compliance with all company procedures for Occupational Health, Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management.
