I am Director, Data & AI at Avanade Italy. My job is to ensure our clients can get the most benefits from the ever-evolving Data & AI landscape so that they can turn their ideas and needs into transformational initiatives and projects. I love to do so leveraging the enormous wealth of knowledge from Avanade, Accenture and Microsoft. Exploring my previous experiences, I spent over 5 years at Engineering Ingegneria Informatica, where I established a Microsoft Data & AI team from the ground up and managed various areas, including Modern Work and the SAP Data & AI Team. Before joining EII, I co-founded and led two companies specialized in Business Intelligence: Bisight (which later merged into Porini, with its core group still doing very well in the BI arena today) and Targit Italia (the Italian and Spanish distributor of the Danish BI suite: "Targit"). My early career included roles at SDG Consulting, where I was responsible for the Sales Planning practice and BOARD software implementations, and IBM, where I gained valuable management experience that continues to shape my professional journey. While the comfort of remote work is appealing, I find that engaging with colleagues, clients, and partners in person brings out my best. My drive comes from my commitment to fostering teamwork, as well as my interests in research , technology, traveling, and delivering impactful results. Currently, a book by Ray Kurzweil, 'The Singularity is Near,' sits on my bedside table, a reminder that we live in exciting times that demand our full attention and wisdom, considering the transformative impact of AI on society.
