Maasai Colour is a start-up luxury fashion brand. My freelance work included managing the blog, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Polyvore and Pinterest pages, creating homepage banners, lookbooks, and outreaching to celebrities, bloggers, and magazines.

Content Manager

LittleBlackDress.co.uk

Editorial: Wrote, edited and managed both internal and external content, link building and the development of the content calendar. This included weekly email marketing campaigns, blogger outreach, PR, writing celebrity-style features, competition posts, and brand collaborative pieces while maintaining the brand tone of voice.

Social Media: Responsible for social media strategy and management, giveaways and collaborations across all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Polyvore, and Google+).

PR: Collaborated with the PR team and was the main point of contact for press releases and blogger outreach.

Design: Worked alongside the in-house graphic designer to direct the presentation of online content, emails, and visuals for social media. I was also required to regularly produce page features and trend guides from scratch using web coding and basic HTML.

E-commerce: Oversaw the web merchandising and optimized SEO on product pages, the integral links of the navigation and the drop down menu using Google Analytics to identify key trends and data.

Interns: Hired and managed interns to produce content for the site, which involved mentoring, editing their work, and developing their writing skills.

Commissioned by Music Magpie to provide two articles a week on fashion related topics such as trends and fashion news for their Fashion Blog.

My freelance work at this luxury fashion retail group predominantly involved writing brand literature with SEO rich content and updates from the A/W collections. Other duties included writing product description and features for the blog.

Freelance Copywriter

Kitbag.com

(2 week temporary job) This position involved day-to-day admin duties for online sports shops managed by Kitbag. The role included updating product details, categories and the design of event and weekly promotional emails. I have also briefed and designed the Christmas Shops for the RFU, Chelsea, Wimbledon and Celtic websites.

Freelance Ecommerce Assistant

A three month internship with fashion e-commerce site Little Black Dress based in Manchester. Duties included: 
Editorial - Writing articles and trend reports for the online blog including trend-based product descriptions tailored with personality and fashion-forward language as well as incorporating SEO keywords. 

E-commerce - Uploading new products and images to the website – including inputting stock levels, liaising with designers about stock, sales and new season collections; sourcing new labels or selecting products whose design pieces reflect the style and ethos of LittleBlackDress.co.uk. 

Social Media - posting, engaging with cusomers, and building relationships with bloggers.

Henley Standard

This 2 month internship was placed with a local newspaper, duties included interviewing and reporting on a variety of stories from the Henley Regatta to award ceremonies and school functions. I also wrote up many press releases, giving me a good knowledge of exactly how to write these as well as produce articles from them. My university experience meant I was trusted to film amongst the public as a representative for the paper and put together videos and voxpops for their online website.
