Content at Dept involves working on a range of digital projects, from full website redesigns to individual campaigns and everything in between. My role focuses on content throughout the research, creation, build, and governance stages. I advocate for user-centred content, led by content design principles. 

Areas of work include to:
- Lead the content stream on client projects, from large scale websites to microcopy

- Develop user-centred content, working closely with subject matter experts 

- Create robust content and governance strategies 

- Facilitate workshops across discovery, user needs, messaging and tone of voice 

- Align with other disciplines including UX, design, analytics and development

- Collaborate with UX on user research, wireframes and information architecture

- Develop internal processes to continually improve the Dept team’s approach to content

Content Strategist

Digital Marketing Institute

At the Digital Marketing Institute, I was responsible for copy across DMI's communications channels. It was a varied role, working on content across the business. Some examples of responsibilities were to:
- Craft copy across the DMI website, social posts, emails, brochures, microcopy, scripts and more

- Identify opportunities to improve CRO, both on the DMI platforms and with partners 

- Establish new brand tone of voice & messaging

- Position new products launched in the market

- Design content experiences that centre potential customers and existing members

- Work with marketing, product, IT, sales and brand teams, along with external partners and agencies

Copywriter & Content Designer

Brown Thomas Arnotts

A fixed term position to bring the digital worlds of Brown Thomas and Arnotts together. My role focused on managing the content stream of an Arnotts redesign project, with duties including: 

- Audit and streamlining of existing Arnotts content

- Responsible for content direction as part of a full migration

- Aligning content with new Arnotts business goals and customer needs

- Collaboration with stakeholders across the company as a primary point-of-contact

As part of this, we identified a number of content gaps. These became copywriting and content strategy projects which I was responsible for across the Brown Thomas and Arnotts websites.

As a Content Designer, my position focused on content creation and maintenance throughout the entire content cycle. This included content writing, template creation, CMS builds, client training, governance strategies and more. My role was to be an advocate for the user while balancing client needs.
