I started SoL at the end of 2016, and within the first 2 financial years we became one of the top 4 re-usable cup companies globally. We operate across Australia, NZ, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, USA, Europe and the UK. With offices in Sydney and London. We have plans of exciting new products in development, market innovation and exciting educational projects.

Founded by Rebecca Veksler is an Australian owned company, born from a desire to make a reusable cup that is plastic free and won’t compromise your health. We’ve done in-depth research about the harmful impact the use of plastics has on the human body and environment, and we want to share our passion for wellbeing with as many people as possible. A journey from personal health and a desire to make the world a cleaner and greener place, Sol cups are designed to work with your drink, with your body and with the environment.


Our mission is to end single-use plastics, as well as decrease the need for plastic production all together. We have been expanding our range to include reusable straws and carry totes, waterproof pouches and are continuing to develop innovative plastic-free solutions to everyday products.
We are passionate about supporting community projects which goals reflect ours, as well as help to educate our community about the problems we face due to plastic production, and the easy things we can do to decrease our individual plastic footprint.

We’re SoLful – For the fun loving, passionate and emotional. We’re for those who live with their hearts on their sleeves. We care about more than just having fun, we want to protect our world and the people in it too. We’re passionate about creating a better, more positive world, one cup at a time. ‘We’re not lemmings’: What happens when Blackbird drops a start-up

I have a deep passion for product development and brand creation, stemming from the profound impact products can have on people's lives. 

Every purchase, every use of a product represents an amalgamation of effort, purpose, and attention to detail that culminate in an enriching experience for the consumer.

When I set out to create something, my goal is always to make a positive impact and bring joy to someone's life. 

To engineer that feeling of happiness and attachment for them is incredibly fulfilling—it's what drives me forward with purpose.

Studying psychology has been enlightening, especially in understanding consumer behavior and how it influences packaging, branding, and the overall consumer experience. Knowing how to elicit emotions and evoke reactions through products and packaging is both rewarding and inspiring.

On the flip side, teaching businesses through my branding workshops has reinforced a key insight: regardless of the product, there's always a market if you're solving a problem and producing an emotional connection/reaction with your audience. This realisation excites me because it means there's infinite potential for small businesses to create globally resonant brands by authentically addressing the needs of their target audience. (nothing we dont all know, but many still struggle to achieve) 

At the core of it all, business is about understanding human behavior—a field that endlessly fascinates me. In the production industry, success hinges not only on creating great products but also on effectively communicating with consumers. It's a lesson I continue to teach and learn: business is fundamentally about understanding people, and that's where my true passion lies.

On health and nature ❤️

I Had an operation last week,  and it’s taking me awhile to really recover. 

 today’s the first day I was able to go for a proper walk and not be in pain. (WIN)

I normally do a walk every single day that lasts up to 2 hours. Thesr walks are really important for my mental health because I allow my thoughts to wonder ( hubberman talks a lot about this if you follow along) and in a way it acts as a mental cleansing. 

For someone as high functioning as me it’s really important to get my walk in,  and when I am unwell from my autoimmune condition or recovering like I have been now, it really impacts my mental health when I don’t get to exercise and move. 

Please don’t take movement or your healthy strong body for granted ❤️

I Just walked past the tree that you can see in the photograph, it had such beautiful flowers that smell amazing, and I was standing under it, smiling and just enjoying the moment,  when an old woman walked past me and began to do the same and we shared a warm and intimate exchange without saying a word but I knew that I impacted her and she impacted me in a positive way.

Humans can be beautiful. Nature is healing, 
In the words of Ferris bueller, life moves pretty fast if you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you may miss it. 

🐒 We are the consequence of the choices we make. Have you heard that quote before? 

Our daily habits produce our lifestyle and our lifestyle directly impacts the amount of joy and fulfilment for life we feel. Which directly correlate's to the amount of purpose and satisfaction for existing we have. 

The little things make up the big things over long periods of time. 

My point is, most people remain stuck in their circumstances because they feel the little tiny daily things are not worth doing; the small commitments, the small new mindset shift, like simply taking longer deeper breathes, like seeing more sunlight, like cleaning up your environment, like moving more, like eating better, these daily commitments are dominos in inducing a more holistic inner world. Those daily things link to the bigger choices we make in life, similar to the theory that the quality of our relationships impact the quality of our life...well the quality of our life also impacts the relationships we choose. 

We are what we continuously do. What you do is who you are. 
I feel grateful to know who I am. 

💡💡💡the power of diversified feedback cannot be overstated. Whether it's from family, friends, or your team, having a circle of trusted individuals to soundboard ideas and decisions is invaluable. It's not about seeking permission; it's about gaining different perspectives that can lead to better choices.  Embracing the wisdom of collective insight; is a game-changer.

💥 On the power of purpose .....and building lasting brands from the ground up


As a mentor to budding entrepreneurs, particularly those venturing into product-based industries, I often encounter a common challenge: a lack of identity. Many founders struggle to connect the dots between their brand, their audience, and their purpose. In today’s startup landscape, it seems like everyone wants to launch the next big thing, but without a solid foundation, many falter before reaching the five-year mark.

When coaching clients grappling with brand identity, I always circle back to the basics: why does their business exist? Instead of jumping straight to defining their target market, we delve into the intrinsic purpose behind their venture. We focus on crafting a compelling narrative that drives them forward, rather than reverse-engineering their brand based on market trends.
While it may sound cliché, the concept of starting with "why" remains paramount. Thanks to thought leaders like Simon Sinek, we’re in the midst of a revolution—a revolution of purpose. Without a deep-seated passion and a clear understanding of how their product solves a problem, founders risk blending into the sea of competitors.

Recently, a coaching client confessed his struggle to identify his target customer because he hadn’t fully defined his product or service. He was passionate about the industry but lacked clarity on what he wanted to offer. My advice to him was simple: become an expert in your field. Identify the topics that ignite your passion, the ones you could talk about endlessly without skipping a beat. Your unique perspective and expertise are what set you apart in a crowded market.
Building a lasting brand isn’t about fitting into a predetermined mold; it’s about carving out your niche based on genuine passion and expertise. Embrace the journey of trial and error, knowing that every setback brings you closer to your true calling. And remember, it’s not about chasing customers—it’s about creating something so valuable that customers come to you.
In the end, success in entrepreneurship isn’t just about selling a product; it’s about sharing your story, your passion, and your purpose with the world. So, before you embark on your entrepreneurial journey, ask yourself: What drives me? What problem am I solving? And most importantly, why does it matter? It’s the answers to these questions that will fuel your success and pave the way for a brand that stands the test of time.
