In 2017, I founded The d8 Group to re-define how government contracts are captured—offering those firms interested in doing business with the Federal Government “A New Way to Win.” What started off as a hypothesis to see if we could truly offer Business Development as a Service (BDaaS), has proven to be a reality as we have now supported over 135 firms in the short time since I started the consulting practice. My team short circuits the learning curve and win cycle for new entrants, and also helps existing players with their critical business development, pipeline and capture needs. We are now also offering BD/ Capture training, Brand Amplification services, and Proposal & Graphics support services. With over 75 targeted Subject Matter Experts and Federal Contracting Growth experts on the team, our team has collectively won over $103B in government contract awards. We provide agency expertise, customer intimacy, solutions acumen, competitive intelligence, teaming support and government outreach support. We are different from other firms in the degree to which we get our hands dirty, how creative we are with our approaches, and the speed and accuracy of our work. We truly behave as an entrenched partner marching forward towards the win with our clients. My firm is agency-agnostic (supporting ALL DoD, Federal Civilian and State & Local accounts). Our real core competency is finding exactly who is buying exactly what our client is selling… and qualifying these opportunities early enough to position for win. With 25 years of comprehensive business and sales experience, and 20 years spent in the Federal Government Contracting arena, I am a proven operational, sales, and strategic business growth executive who has consistently led measurable new business wins and operational improvements for the organizations that I have supported. I am a graduate of University of Virginia’s McIntire school of Commerce with a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce. I also hold an M.B.A. from University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business with a Finance Concentration.
