My financial learnings began in my mid 30s after I came out of a not so easy Separation. 

That was my clue to learn about money so I never had to rely on anybody else for it 

This is a pretty common story for women but lacks the "Masala" that pushes articles and awards so I made a promise to myself ...

I'll keep my head down and just, work. 

Yes, I didn't figure out life at 20 but I still have a solid 40 years ahead of me so why not focus on that

How did you celebrate your new year??

The Next Time you see Someone Enjoying something that isn’t hurting anyone and isn’t your cup of tea, instead of saying something negative, train yourself to think, ‘I’m glad they’re happy,’ and carry on with your life.

This won’t be easy, because society has programmed us like crabs. 

That’s how exam cut-offs work, funding announcements happen, or someone finds an awesome partner. 

Our brain tells us that there's this ... scarcity, and if someone wins it means we have to lose. 

This Mindset Is Poison!

It starts off as healthy competition, which very quickly breds into jealousy and hatred towards the whole damn world.

I’ve seen this bitterness destroy careers, and there is literally zero upside to it.

Also, women ... it is your responsibility to support the woman standing right next to you.

Hype Her Up!!!

Be a queen who fixes other queens' crown without telling the world that it was tilted.

So Let 2026 be a year of supporting each other, especially when bringing someone down feels so easy 🙂

Do it because it's hard.
Do it for good karma.
Do it because ... you’re still a good human being.

How Miserable of a World It Would Be if Only We Win and Everybody Else Loses 

I grew up hearing directly or indirectly that another woman is my competition. 

That there’s limited space. Limited respect. Limited success and if she wins, you'll lose.

I don't know how came up with these ideas but one thing is sure - They must have been stupid! 

Once you're 15 You realise how hard this road already is for women. 

Explaining choices to family, Convincing investors, proving you’re as capable as your male counterparts in meetings, over and over and overrrr again!!

If you want too much - She's too ambitious, must be compromising her family time 

If you spend time with your kids - Why doesn't she contribute to her partner's salary by working. 

It makes me emotional just thinking about how often a woman's support has carried me forward, against the wind. 

Sometimes even against myself 

Who sends a "You got this" before a big meeting. Who replies with "Wasn't it obvious" when you tell her it went great.

In a country where many women are still fighting just to choose their own careers, another woman’s success is not a threat. It’s reassurance. 

Reassurance, that we all have a common goal.

Startup world to me was like Bollywood and who hasn't imagined themselves as a celeb before lol

But just like Bollywood has Khans + Kapoors vs the rest yha pe we have Expectations vs Reality.

▶️ Expectation: "Flexible work hours". Yayy! 

Reality: Work is flexible. It can happen anywhere, anytime.

(Areh work hai ki picture ka gaana 😭)

▶️ Expectation: "Madan Chopra ki factories aaj se meri!!" 

Reality: Staring at WhatsApp blue ticks and '👍🏻' after working for 18 hours continuously.

▶️ Expectation: “Wo building dekh rhi ho Maa, uss building pe aaj se tera naam hoga" 

Reality: Fixing a ₹300 hosting issue kyoki domain expire horha hai .... Maa!! 😓

▶️ Expectation: "Ordering Shrimps at a 5 star hotel office lunch" 

Reality: Ghar ki black coffee kyoki doodh khatam hogya aur online mehenge mil rha hai, budgeting bigad jayegi 😖

Hum sab apne Bollywood (Aur startup) delusions se ghire hue hain.

Ye zindagi nahi hai asaan 
Bas Reality ka dariya hai aur doob ke jana hai :)

Before Quick Comm We Had Planning 

Groceries were planned so was everything the house needed for that month. This all changed with 10 min delivery 

Let's be honest, If you’ve ever ordered food in 10 minutes or less, it probably felt like magic ... 

But for the delivery partners, that “magic” came with super tight deadlines, unsafe driving and just .... 

If you live in Delhi, Noida or Gurgaon try stepping out of your house at 8pm in less than 10 degrees 

Let alone drive a scooty at high speeds to come to your doorstep in pothole filled roads under 8 mins 

Because if we don't get our watermelon in under that time then somehow the world will end 🫩

The Govt has taken this new step and urged the quick comm apps to drop their 10 mins delivery promise 

This is not just a policy change, it’s a small but meaningful win for all gig workers in India. 

We'll have less rush. Safer rides and the ability for delivery partners to just ... breathe 

Here’s to hoping that our 10 min urges can take a breather as well. Getting something home delivered in 20 mins instead is still pretty awesome if you ask me.
