Appointed by the Biden-Harris Administration to serve as Acting Director of National Drug Control Policy, in the Executive Office of the President.  The Office develops and implements the nation's drug control strategy.  Led the development of the first year drug policy priorities which included, for the first time, an emphasis on harm reduction strategies in an effort to curb the addiction and overdose epidemic. Oversaw implementation of the first year policy priorities which included an enhanced public health approach to drug policy while recognizing the importance of disrupting global drug trafficking networks.
