After more than a decade of journalism and daily newsroom experience, I've pivoted to tech, where I utilize my experience with social media for publishers to add a new perspective to Brand strategy. I am a student of innovation and constantly learning new ways of distributing information to an ever-increasing digital audience. Strong news judgement and an ethical sense to deliver information to the public motivates me everyday. My current job provides a continual lesson in paid, earned and organic audiences, social strategy, and the intricacies of multi-platform algorithms and tools. Through my experience, I have learned how to best make social platforms work for big and small publishers as well as brands. My newsroom experience as a web producer and breaking news reporter offered me skills I could transfer beyond my imagination. I started as a newsroom clerk, distributing mail, answering calls and troubleshooting office equipment. My humble beginnings have shown me that every level in any industry contributes to a great product.
