Overall aim was to be a positive student role model encouraging young people to consider university as a viable and attractive option. As a student ambassador, I provided support and assistance to all the young people and fellow staff members involved in the open-day activities, in a safe and friendly manner. Some of the on-campus activities conducted include: ensuring that parents and students queries are dealt with,  deliver presentations based on own experience of higher education and promoting the City University London in a persuasive manner to both students and parents.

During Summer 2011, tutored children between the ages of 6 to 15 in Maths, English and Dance. I looked to inspire students in their subjects and try to find the best techniques to help each student learn and absorb. Key responsibilities that I undertook include:
o  Mark and assess work and examinations set during lessons, ensuring that feedback is provided to students promptly 
o  Provide parents with children's progress card and recommend on ways to improve. 
o  Organise local events where students can perform (dance) and in turn, increase their self-confidence.

During my sixth form, I volunteered to work in a local geriatric hospital where I dealt with psychiatric patients. The key responsibilities included: 
o  Listening to patients and providing them with moral support 
o  Assisting them in various day-to-day tasks
o  Encouraging patients to embrace a collaborative culture/friendly environment within the hospital 
o  Helping organise trips for patients
