My name is Reyanna Lambie, but I go by Rey! I’m an athlete, a creator, and a management consultant passionate about personal development, health and wellness. In university, I was your typical high achieving business student - a perfectionist always chasing success. As a former competitive hockey player, the hustle and grind has always been my element. But here's the thing: I didn't know who I really was beyond the hustle. When it came to work, I was ‘All or Nothing’. Yes, I was disciplined and successful. But I was drained, overwhelmed, and stressed out all the time. Work became my whole life. Taking a break (even when I was burnt out) made me feel guilty. I was unhappy with myself and how I lived my life. I learned the hard way that my well-being isn’t the price of success. This led me to discovering a gap in our hustle culture: We aim high and work hard, but we neglect our well-being until we are burnt out or fed up with our lives and forced to make a change. Many ambitious professionals don’t realize that you don’t have to live this way. You can crush that client deliverable and go to the gym, read that book, and spend quality time with your family. You can excel at work and still prioritize your well-being. You define your balance. I’m here to spread this message and redefine hustle culture. As a management consultant myself, I understand first-hand the challenges that come from a demanding career with unpredictable work hours and a high-performance culture. And as a lifelong athlete, who has overcome injuries and illnesses, I've continued to bounce back and maintain my commitment to my fitness and my health. Now, I’m helping professionals in demanding careers make time for their well-being so they can live a more fulfilling life without sacrificing their performance.
