Performance Coaching
 - Co-Managing New Zealand Team remotely (7 employees) and Internal Sales Reps (13 presently) face-to-face;
 - Coaching the Sales Teams using current and comparative data insights to drive performance and optimise sharing of best practise, peer-to-peer;

Research and Implementation
 - Planning and execution of of Page Optimisation for Groupon New Zealand, owning the inventory and ensuring Revenue Targets are met;
- Supporting of two nationwide fundraising efforts to Support World Vision Australia;
- Pro-actively using Local Market intel to tailor our page offering to best meet Consumer Demand;
- Researching trends and liaising with planners for other markets to come up with proposals for new categories and deals;
- Supporting the effective roll-out of Strategic and Technological updates relating to the sales, strategy and planning functions;

Market Analysis
 - Analysing a wide range of data to provide strategic insights to the sales and strategy teams;
 - Quality Assurance of Deal Structures, based on past performance and market comparison to get the best for the customer, the merchant and therefore, as a result, our business.

I don’t typically like to be pinned down but….

That’s a quote from a misheard song lyric by one of all time fave comedians Peter Kay.

My family love him and still quote all his jokes.

My family also love my new side hustle in the photo.

This is me at the weekend as a trainee priest.

I was visiting a new church hidden away in the hills.
I am so in love with it already.

But my eagle eyed friend can you spot what’s in my hand?

Yes that’s right: two cups.

Wherever I go I always come prepared.
As much I love churches I can’t always trust the coffee 😆 

Without the right fuel and focus I can’t help anyone.
I need to feel on top form to lead well.

It’s the same with you and finding clients.

Quick reminder: this game is a spiritual game.

AKA You win it on the inside first.

As we come charging into a new week ask your self this question:

“For me to achieve this week - what fuel do I need?”

Is it coffee?
Is it prayer?
Is it dedicated time to think?

All the money and meaning and mojo you want could be on the other side of taking a second to work out what will fuel you best.

Take it from this double shot priest-to-be.
It’s worth it.

The Money Monk: Your secret weapon to landing dream clients online

Confession time: I didn’t want to use the D word

D as in Disability.

But that has long since changed.

About a year ago, I got my ADHD diagnosis.
I was excited to have an answer, plus it’s “cool” right? Loads of TikTok influencers with witty takes.

Then my psychologist said:

“Let’s have a conversation about an upgrade… kind of like buy one, get one free.”

Turns out, I also have ASD (autism).

Aka A (Neuro) Spicy Disability

At first, I didn’t see myself in that category.
I found the label hard.

I grieved for the little boy, young man, and grown man who wrestled internally through broken relationships and business struggles, never realising he was wired differently.

But as I processed, I realised something important:
To thrive, I needed to BUILD a life that feels like lifestyle medicine.

I needed different success criteria 

Here’s how autism + ADHD shows up for me:
👀 I crave novelty and structure (a constant battle).
👀 I love stimulus, but I get overstimulated fast.
👀 Conversations without purpose or framework? Painful.
👀 Emotional burdens of others feel physical
👀 I sense motives and intent in conversations.

It IS disability. 
Some things will always be harder.
But admitting that and owning the word disability has actually been empowering.

Why?
Because like someone in a wheelchair needing ramps, I just need frameworks to get the best results.

And here’s the paradox: it’s also a superpower.

Enter 42 year old man in Lycra 🦸‍♀️ 

As a business mentor , this wiring means:
💰 I’m hyper-aware of patterns people are running are hurting them 
💰 I spot beige AI heavy content and offers a mile off 
💰 I bring structure out of chaos.
💰 I see the money leaks and the money taps
💰 I simplify what’s going on in people’s heads
💰 I create rhythms & systems, but also bring grace when life breaks them.

Sales is essence is this: Find out what people need and give it to them.

My spiciness to my needs and others helps me do just that.

It’s why I don’t struggle to make money or help others do the same 

So if you’re exploring disability or neurodivergence, here’s my encouragement:

Admitting your needs is not weakness.
It might just reveal your superpower.

Think of it like X-Men.
Not sure who I’d be… maybe Wolverine.
Or better yet: The Welsh Wolverine. 🐺
