I have launched my own consultancy business to help companies maximise their recovery opportunities. 

I offer specialist advice on mileage, travel and credit card VAT recoveries, under-recovered Accounts Payable, VAT reclaims, etc. utilizing my 20+ years experience in the VAT reclaim industry.

I have studied EU legislation and systems and put this into effect. These niche VAT areas produced some great results for my clients.

VAT IT

As part of the acquisition of the Meridian VAT Reclaim business, I was directing VAT IT with the integration.

Brought in group of clients and ensured effective transition to VAT IT’s, processes and systems managed from South Africa. 

In this challenging environment, I ensured:
-	No clients were lost
-	All invoices for the 2017 deadline were received
-	Refunds were attained in line with VAT received
-	Documents were transferred as required
-	All clients were met to enhance and validate relationships
-	Concur EMS systems for clients were integrated with the VAT IT Platform, Dragon

Moreover, I performed over and above the call of duty, by hitting every target set and signing 3 new global deals. 

All clients were professionally handed over to the customer service teams in South Africa.

Worked with existing and new clients to ensure effective transition to Refund Directive processes.

Managing relationships in a declining marketplace to ensure all VAT was attained, refunds made and revenue earned for the business.

Cross selling other services was a key part of the role. I excelled in this bringing new opportunities for; VAT Assure, Registration and Managed Services.

European Account Manager

Developed new products for the business maximizing VAT reclaim within T&E and AP areas. This included; mileage, VATflo, etc.

These business streams produced over 1 million EUR per year in new revenue for the business.

This included:
-	Analysing the market and listening to customers
-	Project managing the new areas we had to build
-	Working with IT and Operations to meet customer needs and legislative requirements
-	Effective budgeting and forecasting
-	Very frequent travel to Meridian HQ in Dublin
-	Reporting direct to the CEO

Product Development Manager

Client services manager, starting at the lowest point with a handful of small clients to growing the pool into the largest internal client base with at times over €100 million VAT processed per year and circa €10 million in fee.
