•	Management of the CH47F Transportable Flight Proficiency Simulators (TFPS) and associated training 
        device resources in accordance with DASR FSTD.05 – Flight Simulation Training Device Management.
•	Maintain relevant Installation Operating Permits and Management Plans.
•	Identify and manage training device obsolescence issues.
•	Coordination of the simulator accreditation process and Test and Evaluation activities. 
•	Management of contracted deliverables and services supporting the TFPS program and ensuring

Platform Project Manager, CH47F Training Device Manager

•	Ensure the Transportable Flight Proficiency Simulators (TFPS) meet the daily and monthly contracted 
        usage requirements.
•	Compile monthly usage reports for dissemination to the Commonwealth and key stakeholders. 
•	Manage the site to achieve all necessary KPIs whilst remaining within the prescribed budget.
•	Direct all maintenance activities to achieve contract requirements.
•	Manage the Recurrent Evaluation testing schedule and analyse results. 
•	Management of site documentation for compliance with CAE and Commonwealth-prescribed 
        standards and processes.
•	Execute audits for quality control and assurance.
•	Inventory and repair management of spares.
•	Site EHS representative, First Aid Officer, and Site Safety Officer responsibilities.
•	Supervision and mentoring of technicians.

Site Manager - CH47F Training Centre

Thales Australia

•	Supervise a team of technicians to operate and maintain the MRH90 Full Flight Mission Simulator.
•	Coordinate corrective and scheduled maintenance to ensure the simulator is maintained in 
        accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
•	Manage the recurrent evaluation schedule and ensure the simulator remains accredited as a Level D 
        simulator.
•	Manage records and documentation and ensure compliance against the relevant Thales and 
        Commonwealth-prescribed standards and processes.
•	Develop and instruct maintenance courses as required and mentor new trainees through their 
        authorisation process.
•	Monitor and manage team members’ performances against their annual objectives.
•	Foster and maintain a good working relationship with the customer.
•	Support the Maintenance Manager in delivering services within the prescribed budgets and fulfilling 
        the role of Maintenance Manager in the manager’s absence.

Snr Simtech

Sikorsky Helitech

•	Provide oversight of the maintenance activities, ensuring that any internal or external factors affecting 
        the maintenance tasks are assessed and acted upon.
•	Supervise personnel to ensure that all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and daily servicing 
        tasks are carried out efficiently and in accordance with the relevant publications and procedures.
•	Ensure the accuracy of information entered in the Computer Aided Maintenance Management 
        (CAMM2) software, and interpret CAMM2 reports assisting with maintenance planning and 
        scheduling.
•	Ensure the CH47 Independent Maintenance Inspections on CH47 safety-critical components and 
        systems are carried out correctly.

Maintenance manager

•	Deploy and maintain the Heron Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System.
•	Provide on-site support to the Royal Australian Air Force whilst deployed in Afghanistan and at RAAF 
        Base Amberley.
•	Fault finding and rectification of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System, including the ground control 
        station and data terminal.

Aviation Technician

BAE Systems

•	Carry out maintenance/servicing of the CH47D Chinook Helicopter at a depot-level maintenance 
        facility.
•	Test flight phase technical support and fault diagnosis and rectification. 
•	Management and supervision of tradespeople and apprentices, ensuring that all work has been 
        completed to a high standard and has been done so in accordance with the relevant aircraft 
        publications.

Avionics Supervisor

•	Conduct scheduled and unscheduled servicing and maintenance of the Boeing CH47-D Chinook 
        Helicopter and its associated components within an operational squadron environment.
•	Source relevant publications for tasks and ensure compliance with Special Technical Instructions and 
        routine maintenance publications.
•	Compile and complete all relevant maintenance documentation (CAMM2 Computer Aided 
        Maintenance Management).
•	Mentor and supervise trainee technicians.
