•	Strategy  - Delivered an award winning retail branch strategy encompassing re-positioning of  the Abbey branch network and  brand communications across the retail and business banks, introduced new retailing principles designed to help transform the existing business to a multi channel, customer centric retail distribution model.
•	Team management - Supervised and developed sales and planning teams responsible for on-going local sales planning, customer segmentation analysis, new in-store propositions, sales management, merchandise and service delivery. 
•	Business sector insight and strategic third party development – Tested and evaluated a number of product propositions, which included format innovation, brand integration, in-store literature and merchandise operational guidelines with a number of strategic third party partnerships including Safeway, Costa Coffee (Whitbread) and Spar convenience stores. Responsible for management of a £11 million annual sales and marketing budget.
•	Change and Project Management – Designed and executed a major brand transformation matrix management change programme across the retail group, which integrated internal and external communication and training programmes. 

Key Achievements
•	Awarded the retail innovation award in 2001 by Retail Interiors for a trial concept store in Croydon
•	Integrated both Costa Coffee and Carphone Warehouse in store delivering product sales increases of over 110% year on year.
•	Increased overall product sales across trial sites by over 36% year on year and consumer brand awareness by over 20% pre and post development.
•	Prepared the retail bank’s brand marketing work stream in 2001, used as part of the businesses defence document during a hostile bid by Lloyds TSB – the bid was subsequently rejected by Monopolies and Mergers Commission.
