They're hard, because people don't want the traditional approach to those disciplines anymore. If you badger your prospects for a 20 minute meeting, then cold calling is dead. If you "mail in" your copy and segmentation, then email marketing is dead. If you constantly talk about yourself, then PR is dead too. Of course, none of these channels are dead. They are all thriving. It's how you use them that matters.
