I’ve been a news and sports junky all my life. As a result, I tried parlaying that interest into a career in TV news post undergrad. After toiling away in the broadcast industry for a few years in various roles, I woke up and found myself working for a high-tech public relations agency during the fast and furious dot com years. It was wild. I have *stories*. So, I cut my teeth as an entry-level Account Coordinator in the early 2000s and moved my way up to Vice President and agency partner by 2010 for a global communications agency. I loved the B2B tech clients, talking to the media, pitching new business, and burning the midnight oil on media tours. Over my agency career, I developed a knack for applying more Marketing related strategies and tactics to the PR campaigns. Clients loved this. Why? Because my strategies and tactics resulted in customer acquisitions. I finally left the agency world in 2012 and moved “in-house” where I’ve been since leading high-performing teams and partnering with Sales to help grow top-lines. Currently, I serve as Fine Tune's Vice President of Marketing & Communications. My sole focus as a B2B Marketer is to pull as many levers as possible to tell a STORY and generate REVENUE. I can't imagine doing anything else (except for coaching an NFL team). I'm sure there's much more to share, but LinkedIn only gives you so many characters.
