Hello. I am Riiko, and I come from Estonia, a country where many Unicorns have started their journey. Some of the best-known are Skype, Wise, Pipedrive, Bolt, Veriff, etc, and in the near future, we will hear from many others. My passion has always been understanding customer business processes because it is the best way to bring value. One wise person once said, “You don’t know what you don’t know.” this sentence has encouraged and pushed me to ask and find out why someone should need something and whether what I offer creates the desired value. In 2019, when writing my University thesis, I mapped a manufacturing company’s sales process where I combined the theory with real life. At the same time, I also worked in the production company as a Sales development manager, and growth-wise, we had an outstanding and busy year. One of the many fascinating facts I found during the thesis was the need for real-time traceability of the production process. When interacting with customers daily about the project we had, to get an overview, I had to go into production and visually evaluate the production progress on a project-by-project basis. As one of the goals of my thesis, I needed to know how much time it takes me to do this, and I measured with a stopwatch all the steps in production that could have been solved with software. The result was surprising - taking the measurements together was 22 days a year. Twenty-two days a year, I could have created more value for our customers. In 2020, we launched a product with Eziil called BOM. To understand the actual value we bring to our existing and new customers with the latest product, I went to work for one of our clients as an engineer. To understand, is it a "nice to have toy" or how much time and money it actually saves for the companies. Our goal has never been to guess anything; we grow and improve our product and the processes of the metal manufacturing companies in cooperation with customers.
