Work flexible hours to help the Corporate Finance team to complete the system and month-end cut over’s efficiently and effectively. Assist the Accounts Payable team to manage workload during the testing and implementation of the new system and overhaul of the banking process.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Corporate Financial Controller and to the Senior Accountant of this highly reputable real estate company, this role encompasses my skill, knowledge and expertise in the professional completion of a diverse range of accounts payable functions. These include: transaction processing and reporting using the appropriate systems (Yardi Voyager) as per the company’s policy, frameworks, and external legislative and regulatory controls.

    • GENERAL ACCOUNTS: perform bank reconciliation; and any duties as reasonably requested by the Financial Controller and Senior Accountant

    • ACCOUNTS PAYABLE: manage purchase orders; process creditors’ invoices; allocate payments; supplier setup; check and process staff reimbursements; and audit corporate card statements

    • BANKING AND PAYMENT: managing and processing weekly payments (through cheque / direct deposit); and processing corporate foreign payments

    • COMPLIANCE: enforce accounts payable procedures and policies to all invoices; and check invoices for tax compliance

    • REPORTING: assist senior accountant with end-of-month reporting

    • ADMINISTRATIVE TASK: respond to enquiries from creditors and staff in relation to payments; manage the accounts payable inbox; and scan EFT and cheque remittances for easy accessibility

Significant Contribution:                                                                                                                                  Served the School of Chemistry’s finance team within the university's complete system and month-end cutover efficiently and effectively. In due course, I reduced accounts payable discrepancies by 90% through process improvements within the finance function.

Reporting to the finance manager and the coordinator (team leader) of this highly reputable education institution, this role encompasses my skills, knowledge and expertise in the professional completion of a diverse range of financial functions. These include transaction processing and reporting using the appropriate systems (PeopleSoft, Concur and the ‘Expense-It’ App).

    • ACCOUNTS PAYABLE: create and manage purchase orders; and process creditors’ invoices amounting over AUD$1M; supplier setup; coding; process staff reimbursements; and audit corporate card statements

    • ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE: setup donation project(s) and process requests for debtor’s invoices 

    • MONTH-END ACTIVITIES: process requests for general journals related to intercompany transactions  

    • ASSET MANAGEMENT: manage asset registration, transfers, trade-ins and disposals

Served the Group Marketing team within the MQU to complete the system and month-end cut over’s in time and correctly. This role served 5 portfolio partners of the office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, who is responsible for raising revenue through Donations, Corporate Engagement, and Future Students.

Reporting to the finance coordinator (team leader) of this highly reputable education institution. This role encompasses my skills, knowledge and expertise in the professional completion of a diverse range of financial functions using the appropriate systems (FinanceOne, Concur and Basware).

    • ACCOUNTS PAYABLE: purchase order creations; process creditors’ invoices; coding; staff reimbursements; and reconcile corporate card statements

    • ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE: process requests for debtor’s invoices and setup donation project(s)

    • COORDINATE: organise the creation of general ledger accounts for new activities

    • ANALYSES: review all general ledger accounts and amend or report on anomalies

    • REPORTING: undertake regular general ledger and income and expenditure reconciliations; prepare financial acquittals and reports; and prepare month-end journals and accruals
