Many small and medium sized enterprises today are run by the baby boomers’ generation. They were willing to roll up their sleeves and get down and dirty for the business as well as to support their families. They did well, sent their kids to schools and got them well educated because they did not want their children to go through what they had experienced. In so doing, they also created a younger generation that, at times, did not want to follow in their parent’s footsteps and takeover the business. Which in turn left the business owner in a dilemma when it came to a succession plan. Here is My Approach to Helping Business Owners: 1. A helping hand to give a realistic value of your company. 2. Create a profile/brochure of your organisation for potential buyers/investors to review. 3. Connect with pool of investors and potential buyers who have been vetted and are interested in your type of industry. 4. Provide a consultancy/handholding service from the negotiations phase, to signing of the contract as well overseeing a smooth transfer of ownership to achieve a win-win-win situation for all parties concerned. So, where do I come in: 1. Get an accurate valuation of your company and provide you with a realistic number to work with. 2. A professional brochure will elevate your company profile, highlight your organisation's successes and capture the right attention. 3. Connecting with the right investors and/or buyer is key. It cuts the ‘noise’ and allows you to focus on a small BUT important and serious group who are not only keen but also have the financial ability to buy into your organisation. In addition, we won't distract you away from the day to day running of your business while you negotiation the sale. 4. M&As can take time. However, my approach increases your chances of a successful sale of or investment into your company.
