Robert is a U.S. Army veteran with over 10 years of proven experience combining technical, analytical, and supervisory skills in support of organizational objectives. He has accomplished measurable results while leading teams of 3 to 30 in complex environments. Robert possesses a comprehensive background in leadership and management roles derived from conducting domestic and global operations in Italy, Germany, Kuwait, and Iraq. Academically, he has studied abroad in France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Russia. After a decade of military service, Robert completed a year-long capstone consulting project with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in which he conducted research and field studies throughout Swaziland to support their development of innovative renewable energy policies and strategies. Previously, he served on an NYU Wagner/Stern research collaborative for Ashoka Social Financial Services where they developed an Innovation Brief articulating how Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) can be innovatively scaled to serve as market-based solutions that support financial inclusion and economic growth. While serving full-time as an Infantry Noncommissioned Officer in the U.S. Army, Robert simultaneously earned his Bachelor of Science degree with the double major of Political Science and Social Science in only 4 years, graduating at the top 5% of his class with a GPA of 3.93. Born and raised in the NY/NJ area, Robert has traveled to over 40 countries, served twice in the Iraq War, and finally returned home to Brooklyn, New York, where he focused his graduate studies on sustainable development, economics, finance, and public policy. While simultaneously working and completing a variety of certifications and credentials, Robert earned his Master of Public Administration degree in Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy with the specialization of International Policy and Management from the NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Robert is a recipient of numerous honors and awards for outstanding performance throughout his academic and professional endeavors. He has served as a 2018 Regional Fellow for the National Review Institute and a Program Fellow with the Volcker Alliance which earned him the 2018 Peter Fugiel Scholar Honorable Mention by the National Federation of Municipal Analysts (NFMA). He was selected by the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs as a 2018 Carnegie New Leader. Robert also completed studies at Fordham University School of Law and Seton Hall University School of Law.
