Last year I attended my first GRC Conference in Las Vegas, and I remember thinking to myself: “How cool would it be to speak at one of these things someday?”

I had no idea then that one year later, I would. And even better, I’d be doing it in sunny Austin, Texas. 

It was a really great conference and a really great trip. I had the good fortune of being able to spend time catching up with Val Dobrushkin, Maria Kristina H., Blake Hoge, and Aqsa Taylor. The timing also worked out perfectly for me to catch a show at the Comedy Mothership, along with WWE Monday Night Raw (totally a guilty pleasure). 


A big thanks to the folks at ISACA and The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. for inviting me to speak, and to Mutual of Omaha for supporting the trip. Already looking forward to the 2025 event!
