As the Information Security Officer and Head of Enterprise Risk and Information Security at Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island, I lead the strategic direction and operational execution of the security program for the state's only nonprofit health plan. With over 15 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, governance, risk, compliance, disaster recovery, and resilience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to protect business processes and their associated technology, while delivering secure solutions to senior leadership and fostering a cyber-aware culture across the enterprise. My passion for securing cyberspace stems from my military service as a U.S. Air Force veteran, where I defended our nation's interests and values in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. I have successfully transitioned from the public to the private sector, applying the same purpose and integrity to build and manage information security programs in various industries, such as higher education, supply chain, and health care. I also enjoy leading and mentoring diverse teams, providing guidance and leadership, and empowering them to grow and develop professionally. My goal is to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of our members and communities by ensuring the security and privacy of their data and information.
