🤠  I am on the epic quest of going from HubSpot rookie to HubSpot super admin!
🎥  I am creating humorous content about sales and marketing (DM me suggestions).
💰  I am using revops to help businesses achieve scale.
🤝  I am building MEANINGFUL, impactful business relationships via LinkedIn.
🧠  I am thinking of ways to foster personal and professional growth while helping my amazing company (RevPartners) achieve every goal.
🏋️‍♂️  I am lifting weights and playing disc golf (not as competitively as 5 years ago).

If you compared your "to-do list" and your "bucket list"--

How similar would they be?  

I've been off for 2 weeks -- 

Hawaii with Meagan Jones because she's AWESOME at her job, and Arizona with RevPartners for our annual offsite.

On this trip, I heard an absolutely insane story.  

This person was confronted with some pretty potentially devastating news about their health and required major surgery.  High risk, few options.

And they were asked to write a letter to their parents.

Basically themed "if something should happen to me today, here's what you should know about me." (note:  this person is healthy today)

Queue the intense state of reflection--

What if I only had a few "to-do lists" left?  

Call that cringe or cliche if you want.  It hit me hard.

I was kinda ashamed thinking that my letter would be pretty lengthy.

And even more ashamed thinking the only letter (or list) I had been considering was my own.

What would my mom want me to know about her?  My dad? 

What if I'm on their "list"?

They're not on LinkedIn and wouldn't find anything here they weren't already aware of -- weird sense of humor, bad fashion sense, clever comebacks, sings too much, that's Rob since the late '90's 😅😬.

So, I've tried to be intentional with my time towards mom (had a 2.5hr conversation the other day).

And intentional with my wife and kids (and me being present and involved).

And intentional with my dad.  He has CHF among other health issues.

And intentional with myself, who was spending too much time making lists and never getting around to them.

TL;DR -- I realized my "bucket list" was comprised almost entirely of relationships with people, not places or events.  

I write this to thank the one person who told me this story.  

Also, I'm back.  😬
