Robert A. Zielke, J.D.*, AIF® is the President, CEO, and Founder of Altruist Trust Co. & Fiduciary Services, Inc. ("Altruist'). Robert provides trust administration, fiduciary, and wealth management services to individuals and families throughout the U.S. who have a trust domiciled in Washington State. Through case work, advocacy, collaboration, and community involvement, he has earned a sterling reputation throughout the financial and legal communities. Robert’s career began in healthcare and transitioned to law before he focused on beneficiary services in 2005. In each role, Robert leveraged his skills, resources and expertise to provide people with the utmost care. In 2022, Altruist became the 19th company in state history to receive a Trust Company Charter from the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions (DFI). At Altruist, Robert’s mission is to address the unique circumstances and goals of each trust beneficiary and family by delivering services with genuine kindness, compassion, generosity, and love. He manages beneficiary distributions while supervising and approving major purchases and vendor payments. Robert handles, approves, and maintains audit trail documentation to the highest industry standards and attends and leads Trust Committee meetings. He actively manages trust fund investments, securing and growing assets so they meet the trust’s long-term goals. As an industry advocate, Robert has worked tirelessly to establish policies and procedures to protect trust funds from fraud, waste, abuse, diversion, exploitation, and embezzlement. His work applies best practice fiduciary principles from the body of knowledge underlying his Accredited Investment Fiduciary (“AIF®") designation.
