Robert Desmond's Linkedin Analytics

Robert completed a Degree in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge; Robert then joined a successful software consultancy based in North London called Softwire. Whilst there, Robert worked on a range of projects from motion-capture systems for a medical imaging startup, to doing maintenance for Telegraph Media group's Fashion website to helping redesign the back office system of a large brokerage firm. Robert then went freelance and has worked for various clients for different needs, for example an event management back office tracking system, a social media mobile app and big-data analysis tools. Robert then became the CTO of a startup called Story Terrace that helps people capture life stories in beautiful biographical books using freelance writers. He joined at the beginning of the business and helped to grow it from nothing to a £1M run rate as part of the management team. Robert has experience managing teams of developers and designers to ensure that the business needs are delivered on time and in budget. Robert also enjoys public speaking and has done talks for Tedx and other entrepreneurial groups. Robert regularly writes posts about his experiences as well as cycling challenges including Ride for the Living which he helped to set up.
