Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. (DFA) is one of the world's largest dairy cooperatives, with nearly 14,000 member/farmers in 48 states. Member/farmers produce around 63 billion pounds of milk a year (roughly 35% of milk production in the US), which DFA markets. Along with fresh and shelf-stable fluid milk, the co-op produces cheese, butter, dried milk powder, and other dairy products for industrial, wholesale, and retail customers. It also offers contract manufacturing services. The co-op owns 41 manufacturing plants nationwide.

Accountable for procurement, process, systems, and strategy for 30 Million dollars of transportation spend. 

Develop/deliver cost savings and avoidance objectives that bring value back to the farmer members. (1M in savings in 2016-2017) 

Develop/support supply chain improvement projects supporting S&OP, Manufacturing, and Distribution teams across DFA.

▪ Oversight of transportation and warehouse projects in anticipation of projected customer growth over the next 2 years.

Our dedicated fleet comprises of 185 trucks running over 30 million miles a year, delivering parts for Subaru vehicle production at a plant producing 340,000 cars per year. Venture supports car production at Subaru's only US plant.

PepsiCo

▪ Planning and execution of club pack and point of sale display production across the PepsiCo beverage and foods network.
▪ Development and execution of innovation and supply chain projects at two production sites in the Indianapolis region.
▪ Develop and execute loss analysis and lean projects supporting facility operations.
▪ Completed a yard hosteling LSS project at the Indianapolis Service Center saving $50,000 in 2014.

Repack and Warehouse Manager- Indianapolis Service Center

▪ Direct ownership of transportation procurement and performance for 30 production sites in 6 states.
▪ Development of 80 million dollar transportation bid for Midwest, with direct control of 60 million dollars for intra-company
transportation.
▪ Lead Lean Six Sigma team at the PepsiCo Bridgeview production facility to drive a transportation savings and increase intermodal
payload capabilities.
▪ Development of a national intermodal shipping plan to drive a transportation fuel cost savings of 50 percent against over-the-road
shipping costs.

Regional Transportation Analyst- Central Region

▪ Successful start up of Indianapolis Service Center.
▪ Integration of SAP into the Quaker Transportation and Warehouse operations.
▪ Development of national less-than-truckload SAP shipping process.
