I'm an experienced Indigenous senior executive with more than 25 years of public policy, strategic planning, program development and project management experience specializing in working with government agencies, charities, community organizations and corporates to improve their results with Indigenous clients and communities. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the University of Queensland, am a Certified Trainer with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, have International Certifications in Behavioral Assessment, and I'm also a PRINCE2 Project Management Certified Practitioner and a Graduate of the Murra Program from Melbourne Business School. Before establishing my own consulting firm, I led a successful public service career having held a number of senior executive roles in government across the portfolio’s Health, Education and Mines & Energy and executive positions on the boards of management for various non-government bodies including the Queensland Theater Company, Chair of Save the Children Fund, and Galang Place Indigenous Counseling Service. I've had the privilege to have worked on and led some of the most significant initiatives in our State, influenced the national agenda particularly in education, and positively contributed to our economic growth by overseeing regulatory reforms to start the Coal Seam Gas industry and supporting a number of major clean energy initiatives. Over the last 15 years, I've delivered consultancy services to a number of prominent major projects, corporate clients and community partners. I've also worked with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and communities across Australia. To this end, I've provided personal & professional development & training, planning and programs to more than 700 organizations and businesses and more than 5,000 Indigenous people and just about as many non-Indigenous people across urban, regional and remote communities and serviced more than 51 different industries. I have a strong passion for start ups that began with my first business as a 19 year old and inspired by a beaten up copy of an old business book I found in a second-hand book shop. I am an active founder, equity investor and advisor to several business in the technology, resources, consulting, creative arts, labor hire, facilities management, and trade services industries.
