Before joining St. George's University in my Senior Clinical Associate Dean role I was the Plastic Surgeon-in-Chief at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center and New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, the University Hospitals of Columbia and Weill Cornell. I have active maintenance of certification in general surgery and plastic surgery. My memberships include the AAPS, ASPS, ASAPS and the ACMA. I am a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Given my background in Care Management I helped organize the Association of Physician Leadership in Care Management (APCLM). I served as APLCM's inaugural President. My commitment to my specialty of plastic surgery, Hospital Administration and education of medical students and residents across multiple specialties resulted in leadership positions at North Shore University Hospital, NYU School of Medicine and New York-Presbyterian Hospital/ Columbia University Medical Center and New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center during my career. I am now Professor Emeritus of Surgery at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons. My clinical expertise had made me a sought-after expert not only for local and national radio and television appearances but also magazine and newspaper articles and interviews. I am proud to say that I have been included in the annual Castle-Connolly Guide of America’s Cosmetic Surgeons and Dentists and I had been named to New York Magazine’s list of Best Doctors in New York on numerous occasions. Now I am excited to have joined SGU's Management team-and look forward to contributing to their School of Medicine's ongoing success!
