“Tell me about zee good stuff!..” 🧐 Currently completing a transition to Executive Coaching and Mentoring; I’ve packed a lot into a lifetime of exploration geology and adventure travel. I have experience from all levels in the organisations I’ve worked for, with Board experience in several companies and CEO of Metallum Resources plc, and Metallum Exploration Limited. I’ve worked with investors, government departments, finance companies, landowners, sub-contractors and specialist consultants on a range of environmental, exploration and power generation projects, in Australasia, Europe and Canada/North America. In my personal life I’ve been a Yachtmaster and Tall Ship sailor, an Ironman and Commonwealth Games triathlete, Tour de France cyclist, ski mountaineer and cross-country ski marathoner. I’ve been a core presenter at Kendal Mountain Festival for over 10 years; one of the world’s biggest and busiest outdoor festivals. Through our family agricultural business I served on the U.K. board of Aberdeen Angus Producers Ltd. During the global recession of 2008/09 I opened CrossFit Causeway, a functional training strength & conditioning gym with a strong community membership, and an equally strong online following. My coaching qualifications from this covered team, individual, juvenile, endurance and strength training specialities. Most recently I have been assisting Mercedes-Benz Truck & Van in their logistics department - working with sales, servicing and specialist sub-contractors. I hold a full HGV licence and Certificate of Professional Competence in Heavy Goods Vehicle driving, which I completed during Lockdown. I am dedicated to lifelong learning and helping people discover their own potential. The rich & varied experience that life has provided means I can relate strongly to a wide range of people and their position. It has also given me keen strategic insight, an ability to spot trends and identify causative factors. In particular, I love helping people achieve their own ‘lightbulb’ moments, where learning becomes uniquely personal. My experience in the outdoors brings independence and resilience to my coaching. I’m now using all this experience to assist board members, executives and entrepreneurs who seek high performance, in conjunction with my ILM qualification in Executive Coaching and Mentoring. I am open to discussions about Non-Executive Board membership, helping to drive that strategic vision and representing a wide range of stakeholder interests for the Board.
